Started out okay but I am never impressed with staggered food arrival for a party of only 6. And even less so that my father in law waited about 20 minutes after everyone else to receive his food. I'm not sure he would have gotten anything had we not stopped a passing staff member. No one checked on us about more salsa or drink refills. Tacos carnitas were dry and salty and looked like greasy piles of meat on greasy tortillas...not like the menu photo. Brother in law mentioned his food was not so good. Beer sure had a lot of foam too. If you are ever in the Athens GA area, check out Aqua Linda or Los Reyes for really good experience. But avoid La Esperanza in Tazewell. Read moreHoly salt. Someone should tell them that there are other spices in this world. Taste like a salt grenade was thrown into my meal! I had to double up on my blood pressure meds after I ate. I did, however, enjoy the chips. I couldnt eat them with the salsa though because the salsa tasted like blended up tomatoes. They gave us a large portion of food, which is great if you like quantity over quality. Oh well. I guess I'll just have to keep spending all my money at gatos...
