I used to eat here as often as i could, because it is the only chinese restaurant within 30 minutes in any direction, and the food is usually good enough, but the food isnt the problem, it's the OWNER/some employees.
My husband and i bought an 8.50$ take out box to fill up. I, as always, filled half or more of it with Lo Mein... and when we got home we tasted it and it tasted like NOTHING. I watched them bring it out so i knew it was fresh, but it had NO taste at ALL, and it wasnt even Lo Mein noodles. It was a mix of spaghetti and linguine.
The bad part of all of this is that when i came back to let them know, they didnt even APOLOGIZE! ... no refund, and not even a little tiny sack to fill up with replacement food... purely because i didnt drive back to the restaurant and return the bad food. I explained to her that i threw it away because it was so bad, i am 5 months pregnant and was NOT going to drive in the rain because their food service was off. She said there was nothing she could do for me, and i said "If you're the owner, you can, all i'm asking for is to replace the food i PAID for, but didnt get to eat because it was inedible." And she Agreed that if i got the food out of the trash and brought it back, she would replace it.
This is ridiculous because they throw out so much food from buffets, and they could have kept a customer if they had just replaced the food that was bad.
I will NEVER go back there again, because there is NO such thing as customer service. Everyone there is rude, and apparently if you have any issues, they will NOT do anything to make it better. They have a very "Oh well, that sucks for you!" attitude.
The food is NOT good enough to put...

Perfect little "freezer to fryer" egg rolls and wannabe "cheese" wantons. Egg drop soup was thin and flavorless. I had higher hopes and even with the small buffet tables you never know. Strangely not a fish, shrimp or fake crab item to be found anywhere, well I shouldn't say that there was one big ugly coy in a tank that looked life was beating him down just living in this restaurant. You know crying out "eat me please!" To top it off the place was 1/2 filled and there wasn't a bussed table to be found. With hundreds Google food reviews under my belt you might ask "why even bother reviewing the Red Door?" One reason and one reason alone, our wait staff. This poor thing was hustling her butt off. She stopped at our table on numerous occasions to refill drinks and check on us and our needs. If I didn't know better I I was thinking she was trying to make up for the horrible food. $29.00 for two adults and one child. We know great service when we see it, $20.00 for our server. Jeff L-8...
