The name says 'bakery,' but Patis Bakery is more like a cafe, pizzeria (lite), and a bakery rolled into one. The long window of treats and eats attests to this, with the pastries and baked goods greeting the eyes first. Further down the line, there are prepared pizzas, and even further, there are sandwiches and signs posting the specials of the day. My husband and I initially walked in with the intention of grabbing a croissant, but we couldn't help ourselves and nabbed a spicy salmon sandwich to share.
Ordering was a cinch, and since we were dining in, we were directed to grab a seat. Seating space is aplenty, with an entire half of the interior dedicated to tables. On a weekend morning, there were lots of patrons visiting, and even then, there were lots of seats for us to choose.
I'm typically a purist at heart, but there was no stopping me once I saw there was a s'more croissant available. If and when you order one for yourself, they'll ask you if you want it warmed, and the answer is absolutely yes. The marshmallow got melty and gooey, and I gasped when I saw the chocolate inside. It's like a naughty pain au chocolat, and while it was a little on the sweet side for my own preferences, I could see this going over well for those chasing cavities. The spicy salmon was also surprisingly decent, with crunchy bread and salmon that was dressed with a good kick.
I noticed there were some other tables with lingering parties, who had clearly long finished their food but weren't being pressured or chased away. I'd recommend Patis Bakery for those who might want to work or sit with friends for a longer time in...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSo I went with my parents on MLK Day 2024 and arrived there at around 1:30. First of all it was mobbed with only one person running the register. We had to wait 15 minutes after we ordered for a table to clear up. We ordered 2 custom personal pizza pies and 1 tuna on croissant sandwich. After sitting down for 10 minutes we get called that the croissant is ready and the pizzas will be ready soon. After 20 minutes of waiting for both pies to arrive my father went to the one of the ladies behind the counter and asked what was going on and she said sheād check right away. She looked very annoyed and spoke to another person behind the counter and then went back to the kitchen. She then comes back and takes a bunch of peoples orders then tells us that the pizza chef didnāt see our order and only saw the croissant so didnāt start making them yet and said she ācould give us a refund for the pies or wait and see if they could be made still as they were running lowā.
Iām sorry but if your restaurant runs out of soup and pretty much all breads by 1:45pm on a busy day thatās known to be busy then they need to stop adding more locations and make sure that your current locations are covered.
Also my advice to management is if on days like today your kitchen staff is messing up what seemed to me like every order that went in because they were overwhelmed than they should stop taking orders until the orders they were dealing with were...

Arrogant young lady at the counter, the way she tells you to look at the menu to figure out what they have that's not displayed, which you need a magnifying glass for to read. As she stands back with arms folded. We place the order.Asks me for my name, now, my name is kind of unusual, or rare to be fair. She doesn't ask me how to spell it, so she writes it as something else that sounds similar apparantly. We sit down, and another staff member is walking around calling out " Ronda, Ronda" Finally, after no one was claiming it, i said "Renata"? How ever the bagel was the wrong kind, so both of them give me the " face", why? because i wasn't responding to wrong name being called? Or because the bagel was wrong?then she calls out " Ronda " for our coffee drinks. I thanked her however she didn't even look up and grumbled something under her breath. As I sat and watched how they service customers, few orders were not taken correctly, or people not taken care of properly. For the prices they charge, the experience was not worth it, certainly not...
