I’m basing this review solely off of my experience working here. When I still lived in Tecumseh, I never really had a problem with the food or service as a customer. As an employee, that’s a different story. I understand how McDonald’s is known for typically being fast, but that’s because all they care about is times. There’s a monitor that records the times of each order the second the customer gets to the speaker. Anything over 3 minutes is seen as unacceptable. It creates a really stressful work environment when you feel like you have to rush to get orders out, or else management gets angry; making the environment very toxic. There was one manager: Jesse. The bane of everyone’s existence. She was so toxic, very problematic, and she made the work environment so uncomfortable and stressful that people have literally quit because of her. Whether she works there still or not; I don’t know. Hopefully not, for the sake of those poor employees that would have to deal with her. If you didn’t work up to her standard, she would get so aggressive and begin screaming at you. Then she would put you down verbally, talking to you as if you’re an inferior human to her. Upper management did nothing about this. Multiple people would go to the GM, Tracy, and the regional supervisor, (or whatever you call her position) Alicia, and they would do nothing. She’s made employees break down in tears and caused one girl to have a mental breakdown, and yet, the upper management did nothing. Not even a slap on the wrist. Why? Because they genuinely don’t care. I haven’t worked here since the peak of the pandemic, so I don’t know how much has changed. When I worked here though; it was a hot mess. If things haven’t changed, I wouldn’t recommend working here for your own sanity. That, and dealing with the rude, entitled customers just adds...
Read moreWow. I just went through the drive-through. The sweet young person at the cashier was very nice and the person who took my order, maybe the same person, also very nice. However, the person giving me the bag turned around and asked somebody if everything was in there and when they were told yes, they handed it to me. Regretfully, I did not open the bag to check myself. So. I get all the way home and I don’t have my french fries, and you know that’s the major reason to go to McDonald’s! So I called. The person who answered the phone, I think she said her name was Christina; she said it very quickly. I told her that I just came through the drive-through and did not get my french fries and she said, in a negative tone “if you wanna come back, we can replace it for you.” No apology at all. I asked nicely if it was OK if I come tomorrow and she said “that’s fine, what’s your name?” also in that tone, and when I told her, she hung up the phone. I mean, it’s fast food so I’m not expecting amazing customer service, but that was pitiful. I wonder if she was the manager? My cheeseburger bun was old and my pie was cold. It’s a shame. This is a small town and they don’t have...
Read moreThis has got to be the most weird and stressful experience i’ve ever had at this mcdonalds. I don’t write reviews, especially not of fast food restaurants form neighboring cities, but this needs to be shared. Today, oct 13 2020 i order 2 cheeseburgers extra pickle, medium fry, and some sweet and sour sauce. Pretty simple order? I received a Big Mac and medium fry instead. No big deal i turn around and pull into a parking spot next to a car who was waiting on food, a worker came out delivering the food, and came to me next to find out what was wrong. I told her i what i ordered and what I received, she said she couldn’t take the order back and told me to keep it and she’d bring out my real order. Relief. She beings it out and said she added a cookie for the troubles, i was super grateful. I was so excited to get home and eat my cheeseburger w extra pickle. Once i’m cozy at home, i open the bag to see ANOTHER BIG MAC AND MEDIUM FRY. I feel like i just...
