To be fair, you’ll notice a majoriy of the 5 stars were before the pandemic which I guess is understandable. I think alot of businesses were better off pre-covid but this foodhouse no longer feels as justified to come into as a regular. I came in to get food from Bulgogi & Ramen, Korean food was very good which is what makes my 2-stars. I was a regular for Wingman’s Wings which truthfully were the best local wings in town. All the other places on that side of Temecula would just be corporate joints like Wingstop,Epic Wings, etc. So he provided quality you were unable to get unless you were willing to drive somewhere else worth similar because (to be honest) - there is nowhere else similar in Temecula. You can still catch him around from Riverside through Temecula/Murrieta to San Diego. He’s really built an even larger crowd than just staying at this Foodhouse by coming to them. In a way, I guess leaving was a large benefit for him. Anyway, the Foodhouse now just seems… dead? I used to also be a regular at Augies & you’d catch this place filled on a weeknight or weekend regardless of an outdoor event. Now it just seems… like it’s scrapping by with what its got? I don’t know. Also recently spent time at The Press & observed at least 3 people ask the barista while I was there where the ice cream spot “ á la minute “ was. They HAD unique places that were worth going to or visit but not so...
Read moreThe flavor of the Cubano sandwich was actually really good but what killed it for me was the price to portion value. The sandwich is made like a Columbian Arepa, not a Cubano. It seemed like a maiz bun with bar bq pork, egg, bacon, cheese, and tomato. Traditionally, that's not a Cubano. It did taste good but not only was I expecting something else but the size of it was disappointing, considering it was 11 bucks. I got a side of macaroni and cheese to add to it. The to-go box it came in was barely half full but that was 4 dollars. That made it 15 and then there was 2 dollars and some change for tax so I dropped a 20 and left the rest for a tip. Well, ok, but no napkins, no utensils, no salt and pepper. If a place is going to clearly overcharge, I would think the service would be on top of it. I don't think I would return here again. Food wasn't bad but just too expensive and not enough portion. I was still hungry after the sandwich and macaroni. Not something I would go out of...
Read moreThis place has the western theme down pat including highway robbery. If you want to pay over $100 for a family of four, go here and order from their vendors. For 14 dollars, you can have a puny 1/3 lb of smoked brisket. Don't worry, you can pay $4.00 more plus tax for a side of Mac and Cheese. My. Credit card almost fainted when the total for my family of four was over 100 with one meat, one side, and one drink. After they have robbed you of 100+ they slap a tip screen at you... I couldn't do it, so we bailed on the order and went to the wings section. The prices were reasonable, but we waited almost 40 minutes for Wings. During that time I was able to explain to my children the entire history of the world and convinced them the food would be worth it. We got the WI gs and there was a collective "meh". Don't wasted your time here- meander over to Mad Mikes and have a sausage sandwich you will...
