Wow. So I expected more from 8 year consecutive "Best of San Diego" wings. I got the 6 wings with Med. Buffalo sauce. While the sauce was amazing, there was so much in the container it was like "hot wing soup". Way too much to eat in a moving car without sloshing it around. The extreme amount of sauce caused the skin to be rather soggy and was self-defeating. That's an easy fix by getting it on the side, which I highly recommend. The main disappointment was how overcooked my wings were. I got through three of them and had to spit out large amounts that were impossible to chew. It was like chewing on a rope in some places. That is way too overcooked for a restaurant that serves chicken wings all day long. I have to think this was a rare thing because there were a lot of people going in as I sat in the car eating. The best part about the meal was the buttery, garlic-flavored, soft breadsticks. They were amazing. Another bad part was the fact that the carrots in the veggie bag had to have been cut about 4 days in advance. They were powdery and dry where they were cut. They did not taste very fresh. It wasn't a deal-breaker, but would have been so much better if they were fresher. The ranch was great.
This would have been 5 stars if the chicken was cooked better, the veggies fresh, and the sauce less than 1/2 a cup, swimming in the container.

Read moreI ordered ahead of time for pickup. Got there and it wasn't ready. I had to wait 5 minutes which is no problem. I saw an order that looked like what I ordered (sauce on the side) up on the window, the girl looked at the ordered and put it with the pickups, I guess it wasn't mine. More minutes rolled by, the girl asked what my name was again, no problem, I told her my name, she walked to the orders looked at them all then said to me, it's not ready yet the cooks are working on it right now. Another 5 minutes went by and the girl walked over to the bag that I thought was mine (15 minutes ago) and said, your order is ready! Wow, not only are they playing games with customers but their professionalism is non existent. I'm done with epic wings on winchester. I'm not sure if I am the only person that had this issue, regardless, customer service should always be priority. I tip good customer service not bad attitudes and...
Read moreNot typically one to complain. However, incompetence and lack of awareness is something that is a derivative of effort. The girl working at the counter was quite literally doing nothing. I had placed a mobile order for one meal. People who had ordered at the counter got their meals (keep in mind they were multiple orders) more than 15 minutes before me. I had stated my name and they said they were still working on it. After about 30 minutes of waiting, a young man asks me what the name was on my order and found my bag. I had seen the bag when I first walked in and it was there the entire time. No apology. The girl was simply more concerned that her dad would be running a little late to pick her up (I had plenty of free time). Overall my food was cold and I received my order 50 minutes after placing it. I’m in the customer service business as well and it’s tough finding quality candidates, i understand. But cmon...
