Hana Sushi #6 Winchester — Restaurant in Temecula

I am rating Hana sushi two stars due to the fact that two people in our party have severe allergies to spicy food and we made that very clear to our waitress and even asked when ordering each item if they were spicy and she assured us that everything we ordered would not be spicy at all. When our food arrived we confirmed again that the food would not be spicy and she assured us that it was not upon eating two of the green muscles I was convinced that it had to be spicy so I had someone else try it and they agreed it was pricey so we asked her again and she called over a manager and the manager said yes we use spicy mayo but it’s mild. The manager had a very bad attitude. I asked the waitress to remove the green muscles from the bill because they are spicy and I can’t eat them she called the manager over again and we had to explain again that we can not eat spicy food. She was sooooo rude. I had to explain our allergies in detail, absolutely ridiculous. They ended up only removing 3 muscles from the bill. They also wouldn’t split our check like we asked.

The salmon belly was 10 out of 10, the oysters were great but they added Sriracha on top even though we asked for nothing spicy.

Holy moly what can I say about this place that gives it justice? The fish is the absolute freshest, best tasting in Socal by far! The staff is incredible and knowledgeable, super friendly and accommodating. We eat at this Hana about once a week to every other week and have never been disappointed. They are very consistent with quality and taste, it's always the best. Enough with complements let's get to the food, the sushimi is cut to perfection and the freshest best quality around. They have sushi type salads that are fantastic. The rolls we get are the Amber, Michelle, Viking, Scotty's and a few others. They have garlic edimame that is bomb! We have have had the salmon and spicy pork boxes and the portions are great. The only downside I can think of is that sometimes they close for the night and make us leave. This is a prejudice place I walked in to pick up an Uber order I go here all the time to pick up I was asked can they see my phone like I was lying about who I was picking up for. The lady was being very sarcastic and hostile I will never ever go to this establishment again and I will be reporting them to the higher ups. Only Japanese owned and Asian owned businesses asks for your phone to verify who your picking up for no other establishments do. Very poor customer service this lady might want to go back to get some training on respect and customer service. I asked her for her name she aggressively said I don’t need to tell you that .
