I recently had the pleasure of dining at Forefathers in Tempe, Arizona, and I can confidently say it was a fantastic experience. The food was simply amazing, earning a solid 10 out of 10 from me. I opted for the Philly cheesesteak, which was incredibly fulfilling and allowed for customization to suit my taste. The portion size was just right, not too much for a single person. The sweet potato fries were absolutely great, though I wish they could've been a little warmer. Despite this, they were so tasty that I could enjoy them even without any ranch or additional toppings. The drink selection was also impressive; I particularly appreciated that the Sprite and lemonade had the perfect carbonation levels, which is often hard to find. The packaging was also noteworthy, with separate compartments for jalapeños and sauces, all conveniently stored in a cooler next to the refrigerated items. The staff were exceptional, with everyone wearing a smile and creating a welcoming atmosphere. Even the other customers seemed to be in a great mood, adding to the positive vibe of the place. The service was top-notch, and I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly my food was ready. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes, which was impressive for a busy day. Overall, I highly recommend Forefathers, especially if you're a fan of Philly cheesesteaks. I don’t know of any other place that offers jalapeño cilantro ranch, making it a unique and enjoyable dining experience in Tempe, Arizona. SecurityinFriends

Service was great. I liked the build your own option. I got a Mini with steak, mozzarella, ALL the veggies listed, and jalapeno cilantro ranch. My husband got the Regular steak, provolone, ALL the veggies listed and cheese wiz sauce. We shared the seasoned fries with the fry dipping sauce. I usually snap photos of our food, but we went in hungry and accidentally devoured everything. Both our sandwiches tasted Amazing! The sauce made a huge difference between both our meals. Both great flavors but completely different taste because of the added sauce. The thin steak was well seasoned, the veggies were mixed in well (were other places might throw them in and make it sloppy) this place filled in the sandwich perfectly. The sandwich was rolled into a foil where it allowed all the flavors to marinate together and slightly steam the bread, but still keep it's bold flavor and texture. Will definitely keep coming back! 2nd visit decided to upload pictures this time. SERVICE was still GREAT, food still amazing! This time we got sweet potato fries 10/1] and half buffalo chicken salad (solid).

Mixed review. First time for the wife to us e a Philly. She loved the food, loved the atmosphere, the place was clean, lots of people. Cant say enough good things. The reason for a 3 star I stead of 5 is pricing and hair in food. We got a large philly, fries and a drink and it was $17. To some that's fine to other places we've been to its slightly on the higher side. In our sandwich 1/2 way through we found hair in the sandwich. We did wait till we were done and talked to the manager on the side to let him know. He offered us compensation and that's exactly why I told him I waited until we were leaving because we did not want to be treated different or get anything comped. Yes we will go back and try the chicken philly next time and hope the food will still be good, just without the hair in it.

I’m from the east coast and was looking forward to finding an authentic cheesesteak restaurant but unfortunately Forefathers isn’t it. They’re getting three stars for the crispy fries, friendly and swift service, and spotless bathroom however, the actual cheesesteak wasn’t edible nor tasted anything like a real cheesesteak.

The bread was soft and soggy as if it was stale and microwaved—big no, no for an authentic cheesesteak. The bread should be fresh and crispy like a freshly baked baguette. The bread is just as important with any sandwich.

I got the chicken and it was a joke. Nothing like a real chicken cheesesteak. They diced it which is not how it’s supposed to be done and the chicken was rubbery and bland (e.g. like a bad Subway sandwich). Even what seemed like microwaved cheese couldn’t save it because it wasn’t melted properly. Nothing about the way the cheesesteak looked or tasted was authentic. I couldn’t eat the bread at all and tried to eat the chicken with a fork with no success. What a waste.

The fries were awesome however and I would return for the fries alone. They were thin and crispy.

The restaurant has freshly sliced sweet peppers and hot peppers—both good.

Fountain soda is available along with iced tea (black and flavored).

The bathrooms were extremely clean which was impressive and...

So I am a Philly (Philadelphia) girl born and raised the one thing I love🤗 is my Philly Cheese Steaks, the one thing I hate is for stores here in Arizona that say they sell authentic Philly Cheese Steaks🤥 and then when I try them disappointment 😤isn't even a big enough word for my feelings at that time😫😱 however, my hubby found about this place on Facebook and decided to take me there to see if that really stood up to the standards of saying they sell the best cheese steaks 🤔 !!! The service was AMAZING and the Steaks were OMG🎉💃🕺👏🤗🎊 !!! Now don't get me wrong nothing and I mean absolutely NOTHING☝ will ever be better then home (Philly)😁 but outside of this other place called the Best Of Philly, Forefathers get hands down 💯% "YES" from me, they offer so many different options for your food🍟🍔🥗 and they deliver taste and all that goodness😃🤗😍 when you receive it !!! I could say more about my experience here but I want you to go and taste it for yourself, I promise no in fact I guarantee you won't be disappointed at all !!! Kudos👏 to Forefathers for the service and food they provide and I will be coming back over and over...
