We had a terrible experience with the manager Bridget and also employee Jessica. A friend and myself ate there. My friends bagel was not what he ordered but ate it anyway. We decided together promotional offer of a 25 dollar gift card and getting a 5 dollar gift card free. We were at the counter for nearly 10 minutes before anyone appeared up front. The employee rang up separately our 25 dollar cards and had to go t the back to get our 5 dollar gift card. When she returned she said she didn't have any. We asked to speak to a manager and she said that she basically didn't know anything about it. We showed her ( Bridget) on our phones the offer grads and dads promotion. Bridget says that it's only on line. We said why didn't the employee tell us that, otherwise we wouldn't have had her ring up the gift cards. Then another employee or manager named Jessica appears and argues with us. It was a complete mess. Finally, Bridget gives us each 5 dollars and as we were leaving Jessica says and I quote DON'T EVER COME BACK HERE AGAIN! I turn around and say to her what is your name and that's the name she tells me. I have been a loyal customer for years and work at the nearby Tempe Post Office. Several of my coworkers frequently go to this Paneras and I will let them know how rudely we were treated. How dare an employee of your establishment especially a manager tell us to NEVER COME BACK TO THIS PANERAS. I mentioned to both Bridget and Jessica that I would be contacting the higher ups and they said go ahead WE DON'T CARE!! Seriously, is this the type of employees and managers you want running your business. I sure wouldn't. I am livid and want an immediate response because I will not let this go unless something is done about how we were belittled in front of other customers. Thank you! John Vandello By the way this was at the Paneras located on Warner Rd in...
Read morePOOR customer service let me repeat that POOR POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE, I pull up to the drive through and waited 5 minutes just for a rude lady to not even apologize and quickly say they aren’t taking card only cash (which isn’t an issue). The entire time ordering I felt like I was ordering from McDonald’s (poor customer service & rushed) I get to the window and I see multiple workers walking around and not one came to the window until another 5 minutes later and I see them all walking back and forth talking. Finally after a guy comes to the window (tall, brownish hair) comes to the window and again no apology for the wait. I get my drink (no straw) and my sandwich. All around POOR customer service! As I get to work, I open my sandwich and poorly put together as if they didn’t want to do their job and make a sandwich that is apart of the menu (minus my substitution for a croissant) Highly disappointed in this location and the staff I interacted with today. I hope they retrain customer service, if you don’t want to work there find another job, don’t provide the customers with your poor attitude and little to no respect. I hope management makes the necessary changes to avoid upset customers like myself. Thanks!
Update: 8/17/24 Alright this place has redeemed themselves, the cinnatop sandwich came HOT and I’ve been eating it for awhile but the other Panera I go to serves it “warm” warm/cold but not this location the sandwich was DELICIOUS!...
Read moreI’ve ordered from this Panera several times and never had any issues and the food has been fine. My recent experience with them was severely off putting and disappointing, especially considering this Panera usually has great quality. Our order was incorrect so we called them up to let them know, we were saddened by this since we have made this request several times due to dietary restrictions and it is always been met, though we understand mistakes happen it was still disappointing, especially considering the price of the food. We were met with such disrespect, arrogance, and rudeness from whoever answered the phone it was SHOCKING. Working in the service industry is difficult, but that is no reason to be completely disrespectful to your customers, especially if they’re just expressing disappointment and asking for some form of compensation. That was just so disappointing, the way in which he was speaking was just ridiculous and really impacted the way I view this location. I understand mistakes happen, but the way in which they are handled can make or break the situation. I have encountered numerous businesses that have made such mistakes and never had a problem communicating with them, which is why this was such a shocker. The food is generally good but the service is just not it and a poor representation of...
