This was my first time visiting this candy store with my family. We walked in and my kids were super excited to get some candy. It was all fine until I noticed that the employee behind the register with a buzz cut was glaring at my kids and I. The store was not particularly busy, but my family was not the only one there, however we were the only people of color at the time. I tried to not read too much into the situation as I was just trying to enjoy time with my family. I stepped out for a little bit to answer a call. When I looked back in to check on my wife and kids this employee was still watching them like she was ready to jump over the counter as if my family was stealing. Personally, I could not stand for this behavior, so I asked my kids to leave everything and we walked out. I read some other reviews and I guess we didn’t miss much as the candy reviews were bad. Read moreStopped by tonight and had a horrible experience. My three year old daughter wanted some candy and we were having a great time picking out her treats. Once we picked all the candy she wanted we went up to the register to pay. Everything was fine until the person with buzzed hair told us that our daughter needed to use hand sanitizer if she was going to touch the products, which was a pack of Pokémon cards at the counter because she scratched her nose with her sleeve. It would be an understandable demand if my kid was touching the candy in the containers, but my wife and I had already picked her candy for her using their little buckets and tongs that are not sanitized or switched out regularly. We did not purchase anything and walked out. I am not sure what local guides get as incentive or maybe get special treatment in exchange for reviews, but based on my regular non-local guide opinion this place was ruined by...
