MOD Pizza — Restaurant in Tempe

Ordered online but it took about 45 to receive two pies. Also, one of our pizzas was dropped when coming out the oven and that increased our wait time. I have had a great experience here during the day, but I absolutely do not recommend it at night.

(Edit) I assumed that we would receive our order, but in the end they lost our pizzas and we decided to take a refund instead of waiting for them to make them from scratch. Overall I was very disappointed in the service we received as it feels like our time was completely wasted.

Timeline: -ordered 2 pizzas via the app -arrived at the store 15 minutes later and staff was unable to confirm if our pizzas had even been built at this point -we waited another 20 minutes before being asked if a pizza that had just been taken out of the oven was ours—it was not -waited 10 more minutes only to watch one of our completed pizzas dropped on the floor -waited 10 additional minutes only to have an employee ask us to physically confirm if any of the pizzas were ours (none of them were- we didn’t even see our order on there) -we were then given a full refund and we left after around 45 minutes of waiting in the store

The people working there were nice following the aftermath of all of these events; however, we wish they would have been more clear in communicating that they didn’t even have our order cued up. I understand they were understaffed and it was busy, but the overall experience was terrible and the management should take into consideration that three people working the night shift is not enough. It also seems like the process of taking orders is super unreliable and overly convoluted as well as disorganized. We would have been content had there been better communication and if they had told us in the beginning our pizzas...

I will never order online from this location again. By the time we got the pizza it was cold and rubbery.

We ordered online, went to the location on time and walked to the large sign saying pickup online orders. The girl behind the counter took our order name, checked the pieces of paper in front of her and told us it would be an additional 5-10 minutes. We then stepped a few feet away and waited. After close to 15 minutes she called us to pick up the pizzas and there were too many, we checked and they were not the pizzas we ordered. I then realized that the wrong order had a different last name that she never checked. She spent about 5 more minutes looking around for the tag for our pizza, before being told by a cook that he already made our pizza.

Only then did she tell us to check a bag across the restaurant from the counter on an unlabeled table and check to see if it was our order. It was, and had been sitting there with no indication it was meant as a pickup for online orders and no information from the staff when we tried to pickup. At the end we got a pizza that was made 50 minutes before we picked it up and was over an hour old by the time we got home.

Terrible service and worse pizza that could have been prevented with pickup orders being placed near the large sign, or simple communication from the staff. Either oversight is inexcusable for something so basic.

Giving it 2 stars because the past experience when going fully in person is slow, but offered less chance for them...

Went last night for dinner. I normally love MOD but last nights experience was not impressive. Ordered a custom pizza on cauliflower crust (yum!) and a mini salad. The girls were talking so quiet I could hardly hear them. The girl putting my food together was VERY sparing on the toppings, including the "extra" cheese I asked for. She put my pizza over to be cooked and forgot about my salad and went straight to the next person. I had to remind her. Then, same thing, very sparing with the toppings. When we got to the register the girl there was even quieter when she did talk, and didn't really say much. Didn't give my l me my receipt. When they called me over to get my pizza I asked for a side of ranch. She acknowledged me then handed me my pizza and walked away without giving it to me. I went to the restroom and asked my boyfriend to remind them about my ranch when his pizza came out. As I was walking into the restroom the girl that had assembled our food was walking out. I went in. The sink was BONE DRY. EW! She didn't bother washing her hands. For my mental wellbeing I told myself that she went to the kitchen and washed them before returning to make the next person's food, but who knows. Definitely not the best experience at a MOD...
