My boyfriend and I chose this small cafe for breakfast and had a wonderful experience. We were greeted by a friendly face and all questions were answered with knowledge and kindness. The place was clean and quaint.
I had the veggie breakfast burrito which was very good. The salsa is mild but flavorful. The veggie burrito having onion, spinach, mushroom, and cheese was everything I basically would add myself to a burrito at home. I love it when a burrito has grill marks and comes out hot. My boyfriend had a bacon breakfast burrito and the chili with cheese. He has ordered delivery a few years ago from this place and it tasted exactly like he remembered. He said his chili was good: not bad, not amazing, but would get it again.
The coffee and fruit smoothies are not made with milk and are dairy free (the coffee smoothies have International Delight dairy-free creamer, coffee, and ice blended) so the consistency turns into an Icee when towards the end.
Overall, we had a great visit and will definitely be back. This little place is a great option for local businesses in the area to stop and have lunch like my boyfriend used to do when he worked...
Read moreI used to love this place, but the way they handled my last experience was awful. I ordered bacon egg & just cheese on a bage. The man heard me wrong and they put cream cheese. I nicely let the man know I'm sorry, but I ordered just cheese and I apologized that he heard me wrong. They then proceeded to SCRAPE the cream cheese off the bagel added cheese and handed me my food. I got back to work realizing what they did. Walked back up there and said to the man running the place "It seemed you have just scraped the cream cheese off and sir I don't eat cream cheese." He then asked me rudely " YOU EAT CHEESE BUT NOT CREAM CHEESE?" No sir I do not! He told me the food now's going to go to waste and said he'll have to eat it now. The man was so RUDE I just requested my money back. All I have to say is this place was great until they started treated their return...
Read moreI stumbled across Munch-A-Lunch while looking for a new lunch spot near work in Tempe, and I'm so glad I did! The food is fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. I switch between the breakfast burrito and the breakfast super munch sandwich and I'm constantly blown away by how satisfying everything is. You can tell they put real effort into their food.
The service is personal and on a whole other level. After not being in for 6 months Daniel still remembered my name, and its not just me, I swear he knows every single customer on a first name basis. He's always catching up with everyone who comes in with a smile on his face.
If you're in the Tempe area give Munch-A-Lunch a try. It’s one of my go-to spots!
Also just look at this monster...
