There’s a 3.9 star rating, which is ridiculous, and unfair. I say this partly because this place has made some changes, and the staff they have now is EXCEPTIONAL! I went three separate times just to see if there would be a consistency, and EVERY SINGLE TIME that I went and placed an order it was the BEST juice bar experience ever. There’s 3 persons that work here that i especially would like to recognize. COLIN - the coolest young guy you’d ever wanna meet, and it’s such a joy to see someone so full of life and positivity walking in the door, then there’s my other favorite, MAYA - who is an animal on the juice machine. She moves at the speed of light lol and so you don’t have to wait forever to get your order. Then BERGEN, of whom trained Maya, and Bergen is super efficient and makes the best looking smoothies and menu item creations ever ! I love this place, because, not only do you get great service, wonderful menu items, impeccable and impressive timing, and proficiency, but you also can feel the warmth of what NEKTER actually promotes and displays as their mission ! Super impressive, and MAJOR KUDOS to the entire staff here ! Last time I felt so comfortable that I asked Colin to make a suggestion, then I ordered what he recommended and it was amazing ! Wowww ! Great Job all the way around the board. Hopefully in the future we can partner together and do something even greater, because I’d like to have a some major orchestrations catered exclusively by this company for my own endeavors business wise and with some community organizations as well. Read moreOne star is too forgiving! I ordered an Açaí bowl add goji berries, and my husband had to go back because Michael charged for the berries, but did not add them. I asked my husband to return it as the base tasted bland and watered down. He called the Tempe Marketplace location, and the Shift Supervisor, Michael told him to just come back later that night. He went back and then Michael said he could not issue a return/refund/remake the bowl because we did not bring the bowl and he did not have authority to open the register. He told my husband to come back the next day. He went back and then Michael said the same thing even though he told him to come back. I decided to call the store to get in touch with the manager and coming back twice was a waste of both time and gas. Michael was the only person there and said that there was nothing he could do and told me that he had other customers to deal with and that this is not his fault. I asked why he told us to come back if he couldn’t refund us, and he responded “I thought my manager would be here, it’s not my fault she didn’t show up to work today.” He was very rude and expressed that my issue was not in his priority as he said “I have other customers to tend to.” I asked for the name of the manager and he said a name which i could not hear. I asked him again, and he responded “I just told you, Megan.” It’s sad to me that an issue so simple could not be handled with kindness nor respect. I went with two of my friends and two of us got the banana berry açaí bowl and the other one got a different bowl, so they just made the two banana berry ones in the same blender which makes sense, but they gave us practically no smoothie. The one who ordered a different kind had hers filled to the top like all of mine have been at all the other nektars i’ve been to- the smoothie filled up most of the bowl and the fruit filled it the rest of the way to the top. When the banana berry ones came out, the smoothie was barely 1/4th of the way up the container and the fruit went to about half. I’ve honestly gotten more smoothie when i’ve split the bowl and gotten 2 smaller ones for only one extra dollar. There were 2 people working, one guy and one girl. I decided to ask the girl if we could have more açaí or something because she was the one who made our smoothie, and she just cluelessly looked over at the guy. I repeated the question to him and his answer was “no, those meet our standards.” i showed him how much more my friends who got hers made separate got and he just said that sometimes they have a little extra and hook the lucky customers up. It’s been like 2 weeks and I still get mad thinking about the experience. It was ridiculous and the first bad experience i’ve ever had at a Nektar. If you have a choice, go to a different location.
