I have seen Carraba's for years and never went. Tonight I found out why I've never been there. I placed my order online for curbside pickup. Within 10 minutes I was notified that it was ready when it was supposed to take roughly a half an hour per my receipt (ok, whatever my food was ready earlier than I thought it would be). I went inside to get my order because there was no available parking spaces in the curbside pickup location. Most of them were taken by people eating in. My bag of food was already there but wasn't even in a warmer or anything. No, it was right next to the door to go outside. So, totally not surprised that my food was cold when I got home (5 minutes away and I had the heat running to try and "keep it warm"). What I received and what I ordered are almost 2 completely different things. I wanted my steak rare, what did I get? Well done. I wanted extra sauce, what did I get? Almost completely dry food. The portions are nowhere near the price paid. I Paid $25 for 1/4 pound of pasta (not even handmade, just mass produced garbage), 5 very small pieces of steak and 4 overcooked shrimp. Oh and my salad had a peperoncini pepper, yay? Not exactly. I got a stem with a very small piece of pepper on it. Totally disgusted with this experience. Oh yeah and according to their website, you get free Calamari just for signing up for their rewards program. Guess what? I didn't get that either even though I signed up for it. Horrible, horrible, horrible. They should be ashamed...
Read moreI recently organized the Muma College of Business faculty and staff luncheon, which was a huge success thanks to the phenomenal catering provided by Carrabba's. While the food was amazing (their dishes always are), it was the service that stood out.
A special shoutout to Biggie, Adam, Ashley and Jazmin who were absolute stars that day! From the moment they arrived, they exuded warmth and professionalism, ensuring everything ran seamlessly. They were constantly on the move, making sure that the buffet pans were always refreshed and steaming hot, which is no small feat during a busy event of 170 guest. And the drink dispensers were filled at all times, keeping everyone refreshed and happy.
As if that weren’t enough, when unexpected guests arrived and our meat options began to dwindle, Without missing a beat, they took the initiative to order more from the restaurant, ensuring that no one left hungry. Their quick thinking and dedication to guest satisfaction were truly commendable.
I can’t express how grateful I am for their attentive service and professionalism. I will absolutely be using Carrabba's for our next luncheon. If you’re considering them for your event, I wholeheartedly recommend it. You won’t be disappointed!
And one last shout out to Alex in the catering department. She helped with suggesting items for the buffet and was very quick to respond to my emails about last minute changes. I look forward to working with them all at...
Read moreWhere do I begin? Sat down at the bar to have dinner around 8:30pm and the bar tender was completely trying every possible way to ignore us. Finally asks if we want menus and places them down. We ended getting two 9 ounce glasses of sangria, the had absolutely no fruit in it, and seemed to be the bottom of the barrel. All you tasted was sugar. Next we will go to the food, simply ordering a shrimp Caesar, and the salad with scallops and shrimp. Neither salad had dressing in them and served as if it was a side salad, with 4 pieces of shrimp. The lettuce was wilted in both salads at that degree as if they were placed under heating lamps. We asked for extra dressing and again he had an attitude with getting it for us. Now to the final straw as we were eating the cooks had taken off the uniforms and were just in tanks tops and the pants cleaning the kitchen. Sitting at the bar we had full view of seeing how inappropriate they were dressed while people were still eating at the bar and could see everything. And finally of course while we were waiting for the check, not asked if were needed anything else, all we could do is over hear the conversations of the servers speaking how they asked to go home, and because there weren’t let go on time, they were now stuck closing with these tables. Not a very...
