SALMONELLA!! DO NOT EAT HERE!! I left a review 3 years ago (see below), and all of those issues persist. On top of orders taking 20+ minutes longer than promised, the order rarely being correct, and rude service, I contracted salmonella from the chicken bites last Tuesday (3/25/25). That was the sickest I've been in 37 years, and I would tell every person in Texas to avoid this location if possible. Belton's location is GREAT. The West Adams location is the absolute worst location of any Whataburger I have ever been to, and I regret giving it a second chance. I do not want a, "Sorry to hear that, here's a free biscuit," response from the manager. I have already filed a report with the health department, and I am in contact with the corporate office. I am not a "call and complain" type of person, so please, believe me when I warn you, do not let your family eat at this location.
2022 Review This is the worst Whataburger I have been to. Very slow service. The food quality is ok (they're pretty slim on the toppings and sauce compared to other locations), but order has been wrong FIVE STRAIGHT VISITS (and we order from the app, so it's all spelled out in front of the workers). On the fourth one, I went inside to let the staff know my order was wrong. The manager was cordial and asked the employee to fix it, but when I kept trying to tell him it was the fourth time in a row, he cut me off mid-sentence to blame the employee. On the fifth visit, I had ordered extra Au Jus sauce, and they gave me zero sauce. When I went inside (again) to let them know, they put a single squirt of sauce into a cup and handed it to me. I live a couple of minutes from this location but would rather drive to the Belton...
ย ย ย Read moreSecond time my wife and I dinned here. New to Texas so second time to Whataburger. First time was excellent. Mid day not busy at all. Waited approximately 10 minutes for food. Everything was as it should be and expected when your paying for something. Manger even came around to say hello and disposed of our trash very nice. Burgers were good in their own right. Though I love the Army and Air Force Exchange burgers you get overseas. Tonight we went at dinner time drive through was packed and inside was 3/4 full. Mostly young employees working, wasn't greeted or acknowledged for several minutes. When the counter person got to us still no greeting. Took our order and I had to request straws. They got them and instead of handing me one they filled up the dispenser. Now the place was busy but they seemed to have plenty of employees working. After sitting down we noticed other people getting restless waiting for their food. Ours took close to 30 minutes. I ordered onion rings they were cold and for $3.29 there were 6 in the box. the spicy chicken sandwich was good as was my wife's burger her fries were warm. My sandwich bun was crushed. I think the person that comes out with the condiments is a waste of an employee's time especially when their busy, I noticed they didn't always come out and people had to go up to the counter anyway. Nice touch when their not busy. Will return but not...
ย ย ย Read moreThis review I am writing is about the Whataburger in West Adams Ave, Temple. Every Texan loves Whataburger, Iโve figured that out quick. And I think after 3 years of being a resident here Iโve earned the Texan title too. And I love Whataburger just as much as the next, but this Whataburger needs more management during all shifts or at least new. I love that when you order from Whataburger itโs always made fresh, but does it really take 35 minutes to cook a chicken breast slice it up and throw it on a tortilla with whatever other topping the Fajita Taco calls for? The wait here is crazy. The nighttime shift is clueless, and the overnight shift is absent. Yes absent. When itโs 3-4 oโclock in the morning there isnโt much business, but the wait time for one meal is even worse than the wait for before mentioned Fajita Taco. The pies, save yourself the couple dollars. Iโve made the mistake of giving them the benefit of the doubt after the first disaster, and wasnโt surprised really that this time too my lemon pie tasted nothing at all of lemon but like it was filled with whatever is scraped from the grease trap. Both times. Get it together West Adams...
