I'm giving this a five star rating because most of my encounters are great. But today.... I just had an unsatisfactory (to say the least) encounter with the employee with long pink hair. First she makes me a cold drink and puts it in a hot cup (not compatible it breaks down the cup for whatever reason and tastes like cardboard) when I ask her to remake it in a cold cup she intentionally didn't put very much ice in it so it was still hot but now in a cold cup. I always tip very well when I stop in and I mentioned I probably shouldn't tip her at all if this is the service I'll receive and she advocated for me to never come in again in front of a line of customers on both sides. I'm sorry I held you accountable for your actions and that rubbed you wrong. You're lucky I gave you a chance to make it right and it's too bad you chose to lash out at me like I'm your enemy. You can see in the image not enough ice was added.... Google is asking for an update. This pink haired employee is still being rude and burning coffee BAD. I won't go when she's there but my husband did go to get coffee the other morning and she refused to serve him because his wife (me lol) "was rude" to her. Let me be clear, I was not rude, I was grateful she was remaking the drink for me and when she handed me my cup, I started to say "thank you so much, I always try and tip you guys well..." But I cut off because I felt the HOT beverage now in a cold cup and I said "alright, I guess I just won't tip you" to which she replied "how about you just never come back?" Which was yelled out the window as I drove away in front of other customers. She doesn't know how to make coffee, she has no clue about the service industry and she actually smells pretty bad... Like fish... I'm not joking, maybe she was eating fish, I don't know, but her poor hygiene is a huge indicator to not have her handle anything...
Read moreMy husband and I used to love coming here. We get white chocolate caramel frappuccinos. I grew up in this little town and we would always stop as a little treat when going to the river. But the last few months have been progressively getting worse. The people aren’t very nice and don’t wear masks and the coffee is terrible now. I mean not even blended and tastes like water. Even adding extra espresso shots and syrup don’t do anything. I have to pay $3 in extra stuff just for our frappuccinos to even have taste. The blonde that made our coffees today had us sign your receipt before they let us even taste the coffee!! My husband and I will never be going back. Sad. Used to really enjoy coming here, but DEFINITELY WOULD NOT recommend...
Read moreTonight I managed to lock both my keys and phone in the car when picking up food at a teriyaki restaurant. The owner of Black Bear Espresso happened to be there as well. He overheard me asking the restaurant owner if I could use her phone to call AAA, and immediately opened up the AAA app, found my husband’s account and requested a locksmith. We spent the next 20 minutes pleasantly chatting about our lives and jobs, and when the locksmith arrived, Zeke made sure I got in my car and on the road, even my dress which he kindly informed me I had managed to close in my car door. Get your coffee here! The owner is awesome. And the coffee is...
