My daughter (who works here) came home in tears after her shift because of the way her manager talked to her about being late. And no, sheās not been habitually late. We live about 5 minutes from Brusterās. My daughter doesnāt have a license yet, her Ubers kept canceling this day (which I also have proof of) and I was unavailable at the time. I understand the importance of time management but to chastise a 16 year old over something that was out of her control is completely disgusting to me. Shes been working at this location for nearly a year and Iāve never seen her so defeated. Have a little compassion and maybe stick to the schedule rather than changing it to fit you or your friends agenda. Furthermore, give them their schedule with more notice than a few hours to a day of the week of. To get a schedule for the week at the last minute is just unprofessional and frustrating considering most of the staff are teenagers and not all able to drive which leaves us parents responsible to accommodate their transportation along with our own schedules for the work week. So a heads up in a timely manner when altering someoneās regular scheduled shift is just common courtesy. Furthermore, ābeing lenientā isnāt picking and choosing what staff you want to reprimand....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy son ordered a chocolate cake with caramel filling and chocolate turtle ice cream for my husbands 60th birthday. He ordered the cake on Wednesday March 20, 2024 to have it ready for pickup on Saturday March 23, 2024 at noon. When my son showed up to pick up the cake for our party it wasn't ready. After he had called in on Wednesday March 20th at 11:30 and ordered this cake. The manager said it was her fault A. Dayle and she would take care of it. The cake looked like someone smeared part of something green off the top like another name or something and there was also smeared chocolate on the other side of the cake. They had excuses for both of those. Then they hurriedly wrote Happy Birthday kurt. My son was livid! So embarassed of this special cake he had paid almost $50 for. The manager gave him some free coupons for free small cones. To make things worse I believe we did get someone else's cake because we had no caramel and the ice cream was not turtle. It was chocolate. My husband and I have been coming to Emory Rd. Bruster's for years and we always get Chocolate Turtle and it is full of nuts. Literally speaking that was icing...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe got here at 6:40pm on a Sunday. They were out of chocolate mudslide, blueberry cobbler, and caramel sauce. We spent 29$ on ice cream after driving 1 hour and 45 minutes to finish out anniversary celebration. Hannah took our order and seemed to have a very unpleasant disposition etc when laughing with her coworkers. The last part of the order was the warm apple dumplings. The order was placed at 6:49pm. At 7:15pm we still hadn't received the dumplings. After waiting in line Hannah finally got to us and asked what we needed. I informed her we never got our dumplings . She said "Sorry" turned, walked off, got a dumpling, slapped on two globs of ice cream then just turned around and went back to closing . Nothing else. The food was barely warm, doughy, and was just bad. We asked for the manager and she said gave us a number. My ice cream had hardly any ice cream. I have came to Knoxville to get ice cream for 21 years and I have never had as bad of service at a Bruster's as I have here. It is a real shame as normally it is a...
