MCL Restaurant & Bakery Meadows — Restaurant in Terre Haute

The food is not good. I told the manager about my experience. But, it just wasn't this time, "it's every time." "Everything tastes the same." It's usually "cold" by the time you get to your table. It's the "same menu every day". My dinner yesterday was "awful." The meat and gravy was not the real thing and the gravy was "out of the can taste" and very thick.You have gone DOWN in your food! and please get some new food items. Coffee is usually "no good ". Strong! I come at least 1 time a week, and maybe its time to find a new restaurant. I come out to get a good supper and enjoy the time there, but when the food is awful, you eat it anyway and leave. I could say more but you see what is wrong with this restaurant. What I've said doesn't even touch it. Oh, and the chicken is touch and go, sometimes it's raw, with blood in it. Now before I start off let me just say the food is great and my fiancee and I love this place here in terre huate ! I've recommended quite a few people to this place and they say the same thing .I've rarely ever had issues here, With all that being said we look forward to the catfish alot and unfortunately it was undercooked one of the times we went . Now I know nobody's perfect and mistakes happen so I'm not judging this place for one bad visit and undercooked food. I just wish I would have gotten my money back for that particular day cause after the bread and sweats and main courses it was like $50 and we left it all behind the moment we bit into the fish , but I kinda took my losses and we left because they were super busy and I didn't really feel like dealing with the whole situation. Plus we were hungry and needed to eat somewhere lol but mcl is a great place to eat and has a peaceful atmosphere to it and food overall...

I'd like to start off by saying the food was good and the restaurant was clean. However, the experience was unacceptable. I had never been to MCL before this point, and the first thing noticed upon entering the establishment was what appeared to be the front food line manager berating a female employee. The situation was loud and in front of customers. His actions were unprofessional and presented a very negative dining atmosphere and work environment. He also snatched the tongs out from her hand from across the food line and was banging them on the tray rail while yelling. From the outside looking in, it seemed to be that the whole situation was due to the chicken not being displayed properly. Who knew improper chicken placement was so important that it deems putting down your employees during business hours in front of customers!
