Real Hacienda#3 — Restaurant in Terre Haute

Horrible...food was decent, waiter not to bad. We finished eating & we're talking, there were 6 of us. We were celebrating 2 birthday's & Mother's Day. The manager came up to our table & ask if we were finished eating, yes we were. But having conversation after dinner. He ask us to leave because there were customer's waiting on a table!!. No that's NOT how going out to dinner is where I come from. It wasn't like we sat & talked for an hour!! I was the last to finish my meal & it couldn't have been more than 20 minutes!!! Very rude & unprofessional manager!! It was NOT the waiter it was the manager that had a problem. We weren't loud or rude, we were just trying to enjoy our dinner. Our kids live in Terre Haute and we drove 2 hours to meet them for their birthdays and then for some unprofessional manager ask us to leave cause they needed our table. Totally uncalled for... One of the waiters, not ours, came behind me & said he was sorry. Even he was embarrassed for the manager! We definitely won't step foot back in your establishment ever again. If other customers are treated this way it won't be long and you won't have any customers. That's what happens when people are not treated right. Word of mouth is the best advertisement & believe me I'm sure we won't soon forget how we were treated anytime soon about our experience at your establishment. I don't usually write any kind of negative comments but this one needed to be told..........There should be a ZERO on your rating...

I guess my Server was Teodulfo, as he was the one cashing me out, and that name was on the receipt. I ordered a jumbo black margarita, which normally comes in a margarita glass. My server brought it out in a cup that was not transparent. It didn't look jumbo at all, and I paid 9.99 or 10.99. 2nd, when my food came out, I ate 2 bites of rice and then went to the restroom. When coming back, I saw a guy just starting to clear my table. I told him I was still eating and he brought me some more chips and salsa because he had already touched those. Then as he is in the kitchen doing that, I hear 2 servers laughing loud and talking and laughing. I saw one and stared at him. He (Vasquez) then approached me and asked if everything was OK. I said "Yes, as long as you are not laughing at and making fun of me". He said "no. I'm just talking to my friend". Then the laughing immediately stopped. My server was very good, but it appeared to be deceptive when he brought me my drink in a different glass which did not appear to be large and that I couldn't see how much beverage I was getting. Having Vasquez and the other employee laugh and joke right after the guy tried cleaning my table when I hadn't eaten yet really put me on the defensive. I was ready to cause a scene and walk up out of there. This was not the best first...

The food was fine but the service was horrible. We walked in at 12:30, one of maybe three parties in the whole restaurant and after the waiter asked how many were in the group he immediately left to a table without saying follow me or anything and then he just dropped menus on a table and took off so we just assumed that that's our table to sit at. we were sitting for a few minutes and the chips and salsa came and a waiter asked if we're ready to order which we are not because one of the members went to the bathroom so we say no and he annoyedly says "okaaaay" and walks off and then about 15 minutes later he comes back and asks if we're ready at which time we order our our food and ask for a second cup of salsa. The salsa doesn't come for about 10 more minutes when the food comes so some of our party members didn't have chips to eat before the food; the only person to receive a plate too hot to touch was the three year old. When we finally receive the check we ask if we pay here or at the front and the waiter says at the table; we immediately put down a credit card on the receipt but the waiter NEVER came back. 20 minutes went by and we had to walk around the restaurant and find someone in order to pay. Definitely wont be returning or recommending to...
