Stopped by here for a bite to eat on our road trip and was very pleased. The diner has an old school rock and roll and classic car theme going, but wasn't super over done in this regard. Every thing warns you right out that this isn't "fast food", and the food was definitely a higher quality than a typical fast food joint. Even with several other people ahead of us, the wait was very reasonable and the food all came out hot and fresh. No patties sitting under heat lamps here, it was all cooked to order.

We got the cheese burgers with cheddar and opted for Texas Toast which was definitely a good call. The onion rings were cooked just right and were super crisp without being over done. The fries in my picture look a little pale but they were cooked just right as well (they look under cooked in the picture, but they weren't).

The service was friendly. The men's bathroom was very clean and actually smelled nice. I'm not in Texarkana often but this will definitely be somewhere I...

Never made it to the food- - on our lunch break- waited patiently five minutes at the counter while the owner chatted to nearby customers. Gentleman in front of us had been waiting longer, so I walked up to the owner and asked if he had someone working the register. He walked back to the kitchen and told me everyone was working- he was not however, and he never came and took our order or apologized- waited a few more minutes, made eye contact with him and told him we were leaving- miss the old owner - we were always able to get in and out as healthcare workers on our lunch break- even a kind apology or “we will be right with you” would have been nice- a pet peeve- I don’t care if you own the place or not, you are capable of taking a couple of orders during lunch break if your staff is unable to- and the restaurant was not crowded like it was in the past, but I would have even taken that apology. Will not be back on a lunch...

Their sign said "not a fast food establishment", but it sure feels like it when I was inside. You order your food at the counter, get you own drink, and throw away your own trash. The only thing not fast about this place is the time they take to make your food, which is good, because they do not start on any cooking till it is ordered.

I saw people eating as they are cooking in the kitchen. They have more people working than actually needed, I feel this is where overhead is high and price has gone up because of it. My burger meal was almost $15. They upcharge for every toppings added.

The burger itself is good. Fries are fresh so don't expect it to be crunchy. They do offer cajun season salt for the fries which made it taste better. I might come back when I am in town but will try other...

Stopped by on our way through town headed north to the Great white north in Iowa. Interior has a casual rock and roll vibe. Clean and bright and clean restrooms as well. Orded at the counter then they bring your food out to you.Speed of delivery was not fast food fast but acceptable for this type of restaurant. Prices are typical of a specialty burger joint, onion rings were on point good breading and not too big. Burger was excellent perfectly done bacon and fresh onions. All in all a great experience, now if I only I didn't have to keep driving to Iowa in January.
