Susie Q's Casseroles & Confections — Restaurant in Texarkana

I went to Susie Q's to pick up a few single desserts that my family could eat together on my wife's birthday. The coconut cream pie was fantastic. The chocolate sheet cake and lemon cake were both really good too. My daughter loved her strawberry cupcake. The place also sells casseroles ready to bake, and homemade jellies and jams, as well as a wide variety of cakes, cupcakes, cookies, and pies. Most of the desserts they sell are ready to purchase in single servings. We really enjoyed their desserts, and we will definitely be back. UPDATE: I've gone back a few times since I wrote this review, and I've tried several of their refrigerated meals, already cooked and ready to reheat. The chicken and rice is probably my favorite, but the hamburger steak, meatloaf, chicken and dressing, chicken spaghetti, beef spaghetti, Texas casserole, and lasagna noodle casserole...

This place is owned by the person who owns THE LUNCH BOX on Robinson Rd in Texarkana Texas. Love this place. Don't know if cakes are homemade but they are reasonable. Cake slices are 2.50 each Monday- Friday and 1.00 on Saturday. Cookies are about 12.00(?) a dzn but on Saturday they are 7.00. Have taco soup. Beef tips and rice. Discount on a lot of items on Saturday. Staff is friendly. There is one employee who is stands out...Charlotte Nelson. Very talkative. Little loud but helpful. Knows her way around the store. Pays attention to everything. The guy who bakes the cakes is helpful. Talks to customers. Good guy. Y'all check them out... Charlotte will be watching...

If you're in the area make a point to stop in to Susie Q's. She offers a wide variety of baked goods that's sure to please. Coconut pie & her strawberry swirl cake are my favorites, but I've never had anything that Susan's made not be good.

She has a nice selection of prepared meals that come in individual & family size containers. I gravitate to the pot pie & meatloaf. My husband zones in on the beef tips & chicken spaghetti.
