Hubby and I went here for date night wanting to try something new. I don't know if every night is like this, but we definitely felt out of place because everyone in there was well over 60 years old. I'm not saying it's a bad thing. I'm just saying it's an older crowd. Hubby had steak, baked potato, and salad. The steak was tender and delicious. It was perfectly cooked. The potato was good, and the ranch dressing was tasty as well. My food on the other hand.... I ordered the chicken picatta. It is not chicken picatta by any stretch of the imagination. They need to rename it or remove it from the menu. It was chicken with no seasoning swimming in a cream sauce. The cream sauce had no flavor at all. It tasted like they heated up heavy whipping cream and poured it over. The rice pilaf tasted like what comes out of a box. The rolls were good, but I'm pretty sure they didn't make those. I found the food to be expensive for what you get. Our waitress was friendly but we ordered crab cakes for appetizer and we never got them. Hostess was friendly. Restaurant was clean as were...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI don't know what happened to this place, but I will give them another chance in the near future. This is my first time in their new location. I've been dinning with them since the 90's. The decor does not fit their product. The place looks like a fine dining restaurant when they are really a down home cooking restaurant. Not a bad thing, but it lacks the comfort of past incarnations. Service still had friendly Southern charm, thank god. We started with onion rings , which were good. I would have preferred county gravy instead of the ranch it came with. Still upset with the decor, I'm looking around at the black walls an multiple tvs, which were all set to the same channel. It was uncomfortable for some reason. Ok, biggest complaint...Chicken fried steak was like thin shoe leather and steak popped out from the batter. Everything else was tasty, but the bread, which was ho-hum at best. My father ate two bites of his chicken fried steak and quit eating. Didn't box anything up, just left it all ...

I quickly asked her if we could get a booth. The host gathering our menus and silverware heading over to a booth, placing it down and walking off again. I ordered the Pontchartrain, hun ordered the Ribeye steak burger . The burger was satisfying to my husband but from someone that likes their food seasoned well, was very disappointed in the Pontchartrain. The fish was cooked , the shirmp was cooked. Smoothed with white gravy that didnāt work well for me. I order a California Blend of broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots , wanting the broccoli mostly I received broccoli stems with one floret. The baked potatoe was the only thing I found pleasant alone with our waitress Hope š. Thank you for being kind and thoughtful. The total experience was disappointing. Donāt think Iāll return. First impression is a lasting...
