March 18, 2022 (Friday ) This Google Review is in pursuant to a very UNPROFESSIONAL experience that I just had at this particular location : ( Starbucks, Store # 14501, 3480 Palmer Highway, Texas City, Texas. I visit this Starbucks every day and sometimes twice a day. I am a Registered Nurse and a National Life Insurance Producer. I ALWAYS come to Starbucks to Relax, Read and have small talk, but today this particular location's employees had the Music turned up SUPER LOUD !!! I asked an employee to please turn the LOUD music down. The employee began to argue with me and stated that the music was NOT loud. I am the customer and I politely asked that the music please be turned down to a low therapeutic level. While I was obtaining the District Manager's information, the Store Manager, Sven Zenko, walked up to me and began to argue with me and began to give me his opinion as IF I asked him for his thoughts. I simply asked that the music be turned down to a low level. This Starbucks sounded like a NIGHT CLUB on a FRIDAY night. This was absolutely "Unacceptable, Unprofessional and GHETTO " !!! This Manager, Sven Zenko, had the temerity and gall to argue with me like he owned the store then he ran and called the D.M. because he knew that I was about to call her. This type of UNPROFESSIONAL behavior is absolutely disrespectful and offensive to the customers !!! These employees / youngsters NEED to be in - serviced on what is a therapeutic music volume in a public place of business with diverse customer base. These employees and the Manager need to be acutely aware that " LOUD" music is extremely OFFENSIVE and disrespectful. Customers come to Starbucks to Read, Study, Tutor, Relax and have small talk. You can't even hear yourself think in this GHETTO store with this Unprofessional Manager, SVEN ZENKO, allowing the store to be turned into a NIGHT CLUB and the employees are the D.J.s. These employees are more concerned about the LOUD MUSIC than making the customers' orders. HORRIBLE, UNPROFESSIONAL, GHETTO Starbucks !!! I will also be writing the Corporate Office. I spend about $ 100.00 a week with this Starbucks Store, but NOT...
Read moreThey charge you here for shaking your drink!! Apart of ordering a drink whether coffee or cocktails, the bartender makes the drink how you want and that is APART of the order not an upcharge to ask for your drink shaken!! I mean starbucks is already very overpriced and now they think charging for shaking or stirring a drink??!?!! Are you kidding me! Go to any restaurant or bar and ask for your margarita to be shaken and see if they charge you for that! That is insane ! Its also SUPER loud in there when nobody there. The music is on the loudest they can get it, you cant even order without yelling its so loud. The guy barista yells when he talks you can hear him a mile away, like why, just why! Turn the music down that you can hear yourself. 2 Stars because the drinks are actually made right.. I mean better be for paying extra for shaking it. They literally charge you for shaking the drink you paid for to be made right in the current price. So what's next, they just hand you the the mix and milk and you have to make it yourself? I mean seriously! Starbucks does anything to make a money even rip off customers that expect their drink made right for $7 which INCLUDES shaking or stirring it. This is the most insane thing to charge for shaking a drink
Revised. This is the ONLY location that charges .50 to .80 a drink MORE than any other location and they take forever to make a drink even when nobody is there, super dirty, and drinks are never correctly made. Why are...
Read moreMy sister loves getting an Iced Shaken Espresso, but for some reason this Starbucks location consistently gets it wrong — especially through the drive-thru.
On a previous visit, knowing they often mess up the drink, I asked at the drive-thru speaker box if I could pull forward and show how the order is written online to ensure it was made correctly. Instead of listening, the female employee questioned me, insisted I just order from the speaker, and when I pulled forward she already had an attitude. She ended up writing my order on a slip of paper and condescendingly told me, “Next time, order it like this,” as if I were a child. That experience left a bad impression, but I let it go.
Fast forward to today — same order, same problem. When I got to the window, my sister’s Iced Shaken Espresso was wrong yet again. I circled back immediately to have it fixed, and instead of apologizing or inviting me to show what was wrong, the employee made me repeat the order back at the speaker box like I had ordered something completely different. She cut me off as I tried to explain my frustration and dismissed me with a quick “Have a good day.”
There was no apology, no accountability, and no effort to understand the issue. It feels like customer concerns are brushed off here, and employees can be impatient and dismissive. Loyal customers will eventually go elsewhere if this location doesn’t start taking service seriously. Something...
