Dining at Texas Roadhouse is always a satisfying experience, and our recent visit was no exception. From the moment we walked through the door, the warm welcome from the entire staff made a great first impression. Multiple team members greeted us as we entered and again when we left, creating a truly friendly and inviting atmosphere throughout the restaurant.
I ordered the ribs, and they were absolutely incredible fall-off-the-bone tender with just the right amount of smoky flavor and a perfect glaze. You could tell they had been slow-cooked to perfection. They were some of the best ribs I’ve had at a chain restaurant in a long time.
To beat the heat, I also enjoyed a couple of cocktails. Each one was refreshing, well-balanced, and a great complement to the hearty meal. Whether you're in the mood for something sweet or something with a kick, the drink menu has plenty of great options for a hot day.
The rest of my family ordered a mix of steaks and the chicken fried sirloin, and everyone left satisfied. The steaks were cooked to each person’s exact specifications juicy, flavorful, and clearly seasoned with care. The chicken fried sirloin was crispy on the outside, tender inside, and smothered in creamy gravy. There were zero complaints across the board.
What really made the experience stand out, though, was our server, Khalise. She was not only friendly and attentive but also incredibly knowledgeable and funny. She handled our table with ease, made excellent recommendations, and kept our drinks filled and our table cleared. Her personality added a special touch to our night out, and we’re already hoping to be seated in her section the next time we come in.
Overall, the combination of great food, refreshing drinks, and outstanding service made our visit to Texas Roadhouse a memorable one. The upbeat, welcoming atmosphere is exactly what you want for a family meal or a casual get-together with friends. We’ll definitely be back again soon hopefully with Khalise as our server and we highly recommend this location to anyone looking for a solid, satisfying...
Read moreDisappointing Experience at Texas Roadhouse, Texas City
Our recent visit to Texas Roadhouse in Texas City began smoothly, with a seamless check-in and reasonable wait for a table. However, upon being seated, our experience took an unexpected and highly disappointing turn due to the behavior of the management, particularly what appeared to be the owner of this location.
My wife was seated by the hostess while I was in the restroom. Upon my return, I found us in a larger-than-normal booth in the bar area, just the two of us. Shortly after I sat down, a woman, who we later learned was the owner, approached our table. Without any prior interaction, she immediately stated, "You're not supposed to sit here." Both my wife and I were taken aback. She then explained this area was "reserved for people who wait on the waiting list." We had, in fact, just come from the waiting list and were seated there by the hostess.
We promptly informed her that the hostess had seated us at that very table after our wait. The frustration seemed to stem from an immediate assumption on her part that we were incorrectly seated, without verifying how we came to be there. After we clarified that the hostess had seated just the two of us there, she dismissively responded, "Oh. Let me go ahead and get the things that you need." She then never returned with anything we needed.
The saving grace of our visit was our server (whose name I regrettably don't recall). He was exceptionally articulate, knowledgeable about the menu, respectful, and incredibly prompt in attending to our needs and providing swift service. He is truly commendable and deserves significant praise.
It's clear the service was good and the atmosphere pleasant, outside of the direct interaction with the ownership. This incident raises concerns about leadership and training, as it's often said that "the apple doesn't fall far from the tree." If such assumptions and disrespect originate from the leadership, it's concerning to imagine how that influences the overall culture and...
Read moreThe first time i came to this location, in the middle of the week, it was amazing. The food was good, my steak was cooked to perfection, and everything was in order.
This time, on a Sunday afternoon, I'm not too partial. The music was extremely loud, so loud, in fact, that you couldn't hear yourself think... This then caused the more rowdy customers to then practically yell across the table, leaving the rest of us to lean in, wince, and ask the same question of "what?" Repeatedly just to have a normal conversation. When i told the waitress, i was met with a simple "yeah, it's always loud."
When they brought the food, we had servers crammed near our table with two trays, and there was no coordination as they set all of the food in front of one of my party, and expected us to figure out who's was who's. No one came to fill our water, or even check on us, and we had to flag the waitress down to return some food.
The food in this experience was sub-par. My stake, rare, was fine, if not what was more considered medium rare, but i find that happens at most places, and not just this franchise. But anything cooked under that was dry and chewy. And one of my party who ordered pork chops, received them so salty that it was inedible. I ordered seasoned rice, which was too salty.
I was extremely disappointed, but again, this was a suday at the busiest time. I recommend that, if you wish for good attention to detail, go instead on a different day of the week.
We did speak with the manager, just so she was aware of the situation, not looking for anything in return, but she was gracious enough to give us a voucher for...
