Usually have an amazing experience coming over the passed several years but this time was awful. No one was helpful in finding things or showing us the correct entrance or even getting an item. An employee blankly stared at us and looked away when we were at the entrance and asking for help until we ourselves figured out the store was still open on the other side. Felt like they were trying to shoo away customers so they could leave on time because it was about 8pm. Also first time a manager told me I could not try on a size on a mannequin. Said it’s a safety thing on the weekends. Doesn’t make sense to me but it is what it is. I’m a common size so I usually have to get off the mannequin or order to be shipped. So for me to reach a dead end on shopping and being told no on buying an item made me not want to come back but all the employees won’t be there the next time I go. I used to have a good impression of customer service in U.S. stores, but my experience at Express was disappointing. The staff first told me that leaving my phone number and email would give me a $10 discount. As a foreign customer, I spent time entering my number, only to be told later that it didn’t apply because my purchase was a “final sale.” This felt misleading.
