11 Degrees Daiquiri — Restaurant in Texas

I’ve been here twice, my first experience I was asked to provide 2 different forms of identification. I’ve never had this happen before, and the lady? Or guy? That I was talking to was being super rude. I didn’t think much of it at the time so I gave them what they asked for, thinking maybe this person is just having a bad day. We all have bad days sometimes.

Fast forward to 2 weeks later. I didn’t have a good experience the first time so I almost didn’t go, but I decided I’ll give it another try. I went inside and was asked if I had a mask, by the exact same person who served me the first time. I told them no, and asked if they had any. They said no, but you need a mask to be here, again in a very rude manner. And the worst part about it? THEY WEREN’T WEARING A MASK EITHER! They could’ve said “I’m fully vaccinated”, well SO AM I!! I’d understand mask protocols with COVID cases rising, but how fair is it to the customers for the employees to be maskless but refuse service if we are maskless? It made no absolute sense to me.

This person being rude to me both times, I realized this wasn’t them just ‘having a bad day’. They were being so nice to people that were the same color as them, both times, so of course I felt discriminated. I didn’t even argue, I didn’t say S*. Just said okay and walked out. Fantastic vibe in here and very delicious drinks!! Came here when it was 106F and it was like paradise on the inside, not too chilly but the perfect temp. We ordered a mango margarita and thankfully they told us that the specific flavor needed to ice up more. We waited like 10min and it was cold enough. While we waited we listened to music and vibed at the tables. We got to try samples and the henny coke was a flavor I’d like to come back for. Very cute interior and the staff are super attentive. I hate runny slushies so I appreciate they weren’t trying to rush us out. When we got home and enjoyed them OH MY LORD! The flavors were great and the drinks were hitting! Money well spent, the perfect place for a hot day in Texas. We ordered the half gallon which is enough for about 8 drinks, very reasonably...

I usually don’t write a review but cmon man how can you not accept my money when you could simply step outside to take my order, I am fully vaccinated... and I carry my card around at all times. If masks are required then maybe you should step outside to take my order or ask me to call you to place my order so we can do curbside.. on top that the cashier wasn’t even wearing a mask.. which put me in a bad mood any of us could come in contact with COVID at least you need be be an example not just be standing there with your mask off and ask us to put in a mask... and I totally respect the fact he cared but he can step outside like I mentioned or tell me about how I can place orders online .. customer service is key and every sale will Add up keeping a customer (customers) will make a difference...
