I’ve been coming here for years. The prices have sky rocketed, as they should due to the economy, but in my opinion just a little too high for so so good food. Kids meals no longer come with a drink. It’s now $2.75 for a kids drink. I ordered a kids beef fajita quesadilla plate. When we got our food my child received an adults beef fajita quesadilla plate. My waiter wasn’t the one who brought us our food but she kept walking past us so fast that I couldn’t even grab her attention. Finally I got her attention and a few minutes later another gentleman brought out a side of rice and beans. When I got my check I was charged for the adults plate. I flag the gentleman down and let him know what happened and he said “oh but you ordered rice and beans so that’s extra.” I grabbed the kids menu and showed him where it stated kids plates come with rice and beans. He then said “oh but you got the guacamole, and sour cream with it.” I said that’s not my fault, yall sent that with the adults plate that I did NOT order. He says let me see I’ll be back, comes back and puts the receipt on the table and says ok ma’am we fixed the ticket, it was a $4.05 difference, then he grabs on my arm while laughing a little and says “it’s ok don’t worry ma’am, sorry about that.” I didn’t feel comfortable with someone touching me I don’t know. Not only that but they still charged me extra for the side of the guac and sour cream garnish. The adult plate was $14.99, the kids plate was $9.50, a $5.49 difference. So I paid and an additional $1.50. On top of everything my other daughter ordered the chicken strip plate and the ketchup was watery and the chicken strips were soft with no flavor. She took two bites and pushed the plate away. The waiter saw she didn’t eat it and never acknowledged it. She wanted to try something else but the way the waiter was making me feel like I was someone trying to get something for free, and I am absolutely not like that, but that’s how I felt. At this point I was so frustrated I just paid for everything and left. Sad to say I don’t think I...
Read moreThe service was great however the food was not. It food wasn’t great and overpriced, I originally wanted cheese enchiladas but I wasn’t going to pay $15 for tortillas with cheese (it does come with rice and beans however still not worth it) so I got the burrito instead to at least make it worth paying over $15 for a meal. Kids quesadilla were $7, I usually make quesadillas at home a pack of tortillas $3 and a pack of cheese $4 will make a whole family quesadillas so no I decided not to get the 1 $7 kids quesadilla I’m just saying how overpriced it is and how that isn’t worth it. My burrito was ok I ate half but I think it could have been better than just ok I was really was hoping for something better tasting it was kinda bland nothing special. My husband had 3 tacos he only ate half of 1 and immediately felt sick to his stomach when we got home he was ill and woke up with a terrible stomach ache so I’m glad he didn’t eat the rest. My kids got chicken tenders and goodness the chicken looked odd and grayish instead of white. Once my son seen the chicken he decided not to eat I encouraged him to eat his fries but after he seen the chicken he decided he was done with it all and didn’t have not one bite. My other son tried the chicken after a couple bites he said it tasted weird so he didn’t eat much of his. We did not request for management nor did we complain we decided to pay our $70 bill and go on. Yes $70 for 3 terrible tacos, a burrito, and 2 kids meals. We wanted to love it we really did especially after seeing all the great reviews. Cleanliness was not great as well, we sat next to a mirror on the wall which looked dirty and crumbs on the floor my family and I were not impressed we will not be going back to this...
Read moreWe drove by this place for years and decided to stop in today to try it.
Chips and salsa is always a bonus for eating at any mexican restaurant but their salsa was strange. Almost layered with taste, and like you'll read in the rest of my review needed salt!
First let's cover the basics of a review.
Service: Stellar, very welcoming and you can tell this place is family owned because you feel it in the way they great you and the way they tell you goodbye.
Atmosphere: very authentic Mexican food location, love the music that's playing as well.
Facilities: Warm and cozy! A genuine treat to be there!
Now to the hard part. The food!
So their appetizer selection was lacking, it consists of nachos, more nachos, and queso. So we ordered the fajita nachos and were pleasantly surprised as to all the flavor in not only the meat but the beans as well!
Now the main food!
I ordered a quesadilla, and my fiance ordered Fajitas. We both had Charro beans and again the lack of salt started to branch out from the salsa. Their fajitas were tender but after only a few mins the moisture in the meat seemed to drain away and left us wanting to slop the meat around in the onions. Something else I should note if you like corn tortillas you have to ask.
My food was fine but over all the food felt lacking in real flavor, that could have been the lack of salt on everything but all around the meal was satisfying.
I know what I said seems critical but at the same time i want to give you informed that's beyond your normal 5 star "yum" post.
The place was overall a solid 4 star restaurant, if the food had been on point it would have...
