Todayâs visit to Target in October was solely because of a $5 coupon household mailer offer expiring in just four more days in this month. Expiration soon for something you really do need, causes one to make it worthwhile in their daily strategic planning to make good on the offer. At least, I chose to do so, regarding this deal. I donât think I will be a regular Target Guest of this location because it is outside my comfort zone for shopping, unless Target wishes to mail out anymore coupons to my residence. And, because I really needed the 22 lb. bag of Purina Cat Chow Complete, the dry food favorite taste for my pet who lives outdoors year round, finding her shelter in the garage, during these cold, rainy seasons here. So I aim to please my adopted pet, by visiting this newly remodeled store, with their nice, direct gesture in the form of a paper coupon mailer, which was labeled to my household, as a valued Target guest, to get me to drive down to their store in Webster, which I havenât visited in over a year now.
There are Plenty of notable changes at this location. Mostly the fruit/produce/beer wine area up front, which sort of resembles my local Walmart, with their deli bakery, in place of the beer coolers at Target. I couldnât find the eggs right away. They were the first aisle down. I can pick those up at Aldi, at $1.09 for a dozen of large eggs. The iceburg lettuce was picked over well and I noticed the only variations of lettuce was in the more expensive sealed bagged and salad kit brands. I actually prefer my type of lettuce green leaf and for open viewing, for inspection of freshness. It seems to rot faster when it is sealed up or bagged and sealed. I prefer my produce fresh crisp and cheap, so I visit my local Aldi for those better choices.
So Targetsâ generic brand is called Market Pantry in comparison of the brand known as Great Value at Walmart. They seem to be similar in quality on their canned good selections offered to the public. Maybe not as many items offered though here yet. Their MP Saltine Crackers were .89 cents a box of four sleeves of crackers. The MP 4 pack of Chunk Light Tuna in water is $3.09. The MP Homestyle Sweet Picled relish 10 fl Oz is .89 cents. The MP Mild Sliced jalapeños 12 FL OZ is $1.49 All by Market Pantry, the Target Brands, Inc.
There were no cheaper bread brands for Hot dog buns or hamburger buns here. Nothing around a dollar or less. Again, that will require another grocer like Kroger Psssst! brand or the Family Style brand I can find cheaper at Foodarama, or even better the Lâoven Fresh brand at Aldi, where Hot dog buns are as low as .85 cents. All three grocersâ generic brands are under $1.00 each for Hot dog buns! Nowadays, a Target or Walmart is not enough to cover all your staple needs at home, so if you like to get it cheaper, like I do, you will need to have a grocery rotation plan to purchase your favorite grocery items and toiletries. It is easy to do. Just plan it out well. And All my favorite shopping stores, are all close by to one another in South Houston and Pasadena nearby my home.
The one cool thing here, that Target actually needs more of for customer assistance is those the price scanners throughout Target due to lack of employees present, you know, for those misplaced items in their wrong respective locations. I waited for 10 minutes while a Nabisco employee working at that location, found a Target employee to assist, with a hand held scanner. And another 5 minutes wasted, while he fumbled through the screen time process, to finally get the barcode scanned. When I finally located one of those pole scanners across the store, I checked the item he assisted with, the cracker box and it scanned so easily. And it presented the price clearly to me. No fuss, no...
Read moreWe love Target! So, when we got married we choose to do one of our registries there. The Baybrook Target is usually my favorite and we drive from East Pearland to go to it. However, our wedding registry experience was poor. When we walked in to originally register and asked about how to do a registry the first time no one helped us or even answered our question. They stared at us and pointed at a registry wand. We understand itâs not difficult and itâs easy on your phone. But I guess we expected to be taken better care of. After the wedding I went in to use our completion coupon. We had no problems returning items. We gathered what we wanted but at the register we had issue with the cashier (she may have been a manager or someone from customer service). I believe her name was Amber. She told us the coupon wouldnât work was. She very flippant and impatient. She did say she would try but also repeatedly said it wouldnât work and acted put off that I was disappointed. I was buying $400 worth of items. So, we walked away empty handed and that also didnât bother her. I stopped by customer care to just talk to them more about why it wouldnât work and not about the cashier. I wanted to understand why it wouldnât work. Amber came over interrupted our conversation with customer service. Her tone became loud and aggressive and when I told her I didnât appreciate her attitude she got very upset. We told them we would take our business elsewhere. I ended up ordering all of our items online and had no issues using the coupon like she said I would. This was not a fun or enjoyable experience and it was on my birthday. We will not be shopping with this Target for awhile and we DO NOT recommend you use their registries. We had a wonderful experience at Bed Bath and Beyond. They congratulated us, gave us a gift and when there were issues helped us solved them with a smile. Donât waste...
Read moreI will never shop at Target / Target Store Baybrook again. Their "price match guarantee" is a bunch of garbage. My friend went in to target Baybrook this morning to buy items that were on sale on Gamestop. He was able to purchase the items at Target for the Gamestop price using their price match, however they limited him to 2 per item. I then went to the same Target to take advantage of the same deal. I was told I could not get the deal. When I asked to speak with a manager, I had to wait 20 minutes for Brittany to make time to come speak with me. She told me it was not an option because these items are vendor items (meaning someone else comes in to stock them). It is not listed ANYWHERE on Target's website that vendor items are excluded from their price match policy. So who knows, Brittany could have been correct, but I feel like she was making something up, since it is not listed on Target's exclusions list on their website. Additionally, I called a different target, and asked to speak with a manager, to see if they would honor the price match. They said that they would, but again would be limiting me to 5 items. While I do appreciate that they are honoring the price match,I do not understand why it is "up the store" what amount they want to allow you to buy. My mother was able to go to a different target and buy as many of the items as she wanted with no problem. Apparently, target's policy is to give their stores autonomy, and they will not enforce their policies or override the decision of the manager in store. This makes no sense to me. Wouldnt Target want all of their customers to have the same experience, regardless of the store or employee they interact with? Apparently not. I already didnt like Target anyways, but this is just the icing...
