They now stick a tablet in your face at the drive through and ask for a tip, not a signature, only a tip, minimum selection 15% on a $7 cone for scooping ice cream out of a tub and into a cone. I paid the 15% and learned where not to get ice cream. Maybe if I ordered a banana spit with mountains of ice cream and my name spelled out in chocolate syrup a tip might be warranted. It's apparent the owner doesn't want to pay a fair wage and instead puts the burden on the customers to pay his employees. They could just price the product enough to cover labor and be honest and up front, but no, lets promise tips to the employees instead of paying them a fair wage. I won't be returning. I tip 20% minimum at restaurants because they are paid tip wages of 2.15 an hour and usually offer good table service, but I'm not tipping someone to scoop ice cream because the owner is cheap nor will i be in a position to refuse to tip an obviously underpaid worker. There's plenty of other choices for quality ice cream. Edit, I see the business response and want to clarify the tablet did not ask for a signature, only a tip. The tablet was presented for a tip only and yes you can refuse and look cheap or just go...
Read moreOverpriced ice cream with disappointing serving size.
I ordered a 4 scoop cup and the staff smashed each âscoopâ into the next creating a sad mixture of flavors that resembled a Smashburger.
My daughter wouldnât even eat it because it all mixed together.
4 scoops added up to 2 scoops at any other place.
I also ordered 2 scoops of Italian ice which looked like a pathetic single scoop.
Perhaps the mistake was ordering in a cup?
The blue raspberry Italian Ice tasted good.
The Sea Salt Toffee was really good when it wasnât mixed with chocolate.
Cookies and Cream was pretty good too.
The Rocky Road and Banana pudding were not worth it.
Others that ordered cones seemed pretty happy with their decision.
I did hear the little girl in front of me that ordered the kids scoop comment âthatâs all I get?â
Thereâs definitely room for improvement.
I wish I took pictures as they look nothing like the cups shown in the...
Read moreI would give this place 5 stars if they didnât skimp-out on the quantity of ice cream given.
If you get a waffle cone they give you a ton! You request a large cup only with 3 scoops and I kid you not you will only receive what would be equivalent to â1 Scoopâ anywhere else. Itâs like they are selling you an adult size drink but they give you the mini kiddy cup instead.
Iâve been here several times over the years and the most recent 2 visits have gone from bad, to worse!! Iâll just drive a little further and find another place going forward, ridiculous :(
Once again, the ice cream is great and the people are nice. I think this may just be a training issue with the kids running around scooping it. I requested 3 scoops with 3 different flavors: maybe a 1/4 scoops of one, and half scoops for the other 2...
