The service was less than desirable. We hardly were waited upon. Aside from when we were brought our meals, we were only asked about refills one other time. I frequently was without water. I tried their burger that comes with plantain patties instead of a bun. I felt it was very unique. I enjoyed the plantain buns. The veggies were fresh. But the burger pattie and cheese was less than desired. The cheese slice was disappointing in quality, and it was noticeable that the burger pattie was frozen, and not fresh made. The fries were just regular fries. I would have enjoyed it more with a better pattie, cheese, and maybe even yucca fries, in place of potato fries, to step up the dish. My wife tried the Oxtail soup with Yucca in garlic sauce and Plantain. The oxtail was very juicy and tender. The yucca was flavorful in the garlic sauce. I will give this place another go, and just try a more traditional dish, myself.

Me equivoqué!!!

First time dining here and I definitely won't be returning. Nothing about my dining experience here, with the exception of a couple of things, makes me even consider giving this place a second chance. I was apart of a party of approximately 20 people which had a table reserved in the back of the restaurant which was very dimly lit, but considering it's the "club" part of the restaurant I won't hold that against them. The "cloth" set out on the table had visible stains on them and felt sticky in a couple places but I was told that the tables had been cleaned. I ordered the milanesa de pollo with steamed rice and black beans. The chicken was incredibly dry with no flavor. The rice and beans were the only thing that saved the dish, as a matter of fact the rice and beans were the ONLY two things that were good about my experience there. Upon leaving the restaurant around 12am (only stayed that long out of respect for the party I was with) I hadn't noticed that I dropped my wallet in the "club" part of the restaurant and since I live an hour and half away, of course I didn't notice until I got home. I called the restaurant around 1:40am and tried to explain if they would be able to check if my wallet was there, the lady who answered told me to speak Spanish, and since I do not know how, I apologized over and over and pleaded with her to check, she hung up, I called 17 more times and no one answered. My wife knows a little Spanish and called from a different number, same lady answered and while my wife struggled to get the right words out, the lady then spoke in English that they couldn't find it. So I reached out to my friend who hosted the party and he called and they said they did find my wallet. I show up the next day to collect it from them and they told me they didn't have it, so I ask to speak to the manager and she hesitates and claims she has no idea what I was talking about. Then after a couple minutes of me explaining everything she says "Oh! A wallet?". She then returns with my wallet in hand. While I am thankful they did not keep my wallet, what I had to go through in order to get it left a bad taste in my mouth, much like the chicken they served me. DO...

Rude. Rude. Rude. I called to place an order to go and the girl on the phone rushed me the whole time. I asked questions about the dishes and she said to call back when my order was ready. I was ready to order, I just wanted to make sure I was ordering the right thing. She told me she couldn’t be on the phone with me for an hour because she had her customers waiting. I was in the phone with her for 6 minutes at this time. I’m a customer too! She rushed over 20 times and I asked her to not rush me. I had a big order. She wanted to hang up like 5 times because I had questions about the dishes. She said that I wasn’t ready and to call back. The whole conversation didn’t make any sense to me on why she kept rushing me. I asked her to not rush me. If she could only answer my questions we could place this order faster. I’m sure that because I wasn’t a tipping customer, she didn’t want to waste her time taking my order. I went and bought my food at CAFE CUBA on Fry rd and west little York. They are much friendlier and every time I’ve been there, they had no problem answering my questions. They recommend dishes and they take their time explaining why. Flor de cuba will never see my dollars again. Oh and the manager didn’t want to talk to me. When I told the girl then I’m gonna have to come up there to see why I can’t get treated right, she yelled and said fine with me come up here now...

Food was ok but bad service. We asked Waitress to split the bill and she put an upset face about that but ended up doing it. Then our food came out and for some reason they turned off the lights and left us eating in the dark and then we asked to turn the lights on and they ignored us completely. After asking again a man came to the table and turned on a small battery operated light at the table and said here you go, like that was going to help. After that we got the bill and then they said the tip was included for a party of 6 and over. We had a baby with us and he was asleep the whole time and said he counts for number 6 when he never ate or drank anything only slept the whole time. After speaking to the waitress she got upset and said we were disrespectful to her and walked away like we were the problem. I believe the server's name was Carmen but she has a bad attitude and horrible customer service skills. Wouldn't go back to that environment. We have been going there for years so sounds like new owners or something that don't know how to take care of customers. All waitresses and waiters are rude and arrogant, also be careful they charge for every basket of bread you ask for, first one is free and then they bring very little each time something that...
