I feel bad because I seldomly do bad reviews but this time I think I should be honest and point out my experience. Hoping L Pastel management takes the feedback and fixes what needs to be addressed. Horrible customer service. I went in on Thur. June 28th to inquire about wedding cakes examples. No greeting as I walked in, there was only 1 lady who was helping a couple, therefore I waited a bit of a long while to even get acknowledged. After like 15 minutes, she just asked me if I was going to order a cake, to which I responded well I'm here to see if you can show me some of y'all's photo images of examples, prices, etc. I've never ordered a wedding cake before so I was there for help hoping I'd get some guidance, feedback on the best seller wedding cake flavors, etc. Her response was YOU CAN LOOK AT THEM YOURSELF ON FACEBOOK then call them. That was my ticket out the door. 😡 Not to mention the floor was super sticky, felt filthy. The place doesn't even look like a cake shop. It's just lined up with cake boxes and dusty empty displays. After this bad experience at "L" Pastel I went to 2 other cake shops who greeted me at the door, always smiled, the waiting time was seconds, was shown an album of wedding sample cakes, as well as samples on a big monitor screen, was given advice and guidance, opinions, was also given sample pieces to taste and decide which one I'd prefer. I was blown away with the customer service at other cake shops! I hope L Pastel steps it up to IN PERSON customers because their cakes are good. I've tasted them at parties I have been at but I had just never ordered from them myself nonetheless, gone to their shop in person. Disappointed...
Read moreNever again will I go here. I'm not the type to bad mouth people/places but this place really upset me. As you can see from my ticket I placed my order a month ahead of time. This was my daughters first birthday party so I wanted to makes sure everything was ready ahead of time so I would not be rushed last minute. A young girl took my order then my husband went to go pay for it. Sure enough the day of my event I go to the shop. Running a bit late I was supposed to be there at 12 for it but ended up going at 2:45 I tell the lady I'm there for my cake and she's just walking around looking at each cake going back and forth. Then she asked me to see my ticket. So I showed it to her. Then she goes to the back and I'm wondering what's going on. Then she comes to the first and says they don't have my cake. That they didnt make it. They forgot and couldn't find my ticket. Not a single apology I got from them. No sympathy what so ever. She did offer to make me a cake later which I could get in a few hours. But I only had my venue rented for 2 hours so that would have been of no use. I was pretty sad I couldn't believe my babies first birthday party and no cake. The owner called me later on to say that this mistake has been happening alot that her employees were losing the tickets. Read moreMy family has been going to L’ Pastel Bakery since 2013 because they assured us the design for the birthday cake we showed them would be completed and could be tweaked as some parts were fondant. We were naturally apprehensive because had no prior experience with them but what we received went above and beyond our expectations! Every single birthday party we have had since has always been with La Pastel because they do not give us excuses, like we have received with other bakeries, and the finished product is always beautiful and flavorful!!
