Los 3 Ranchitos — Restaurant in Texas

I think this restaurant solidly sits in between "Decent Experience" and "Blew away by expectations".

I typically order the same thing at any Mexican Restaurant I go to; A large Queso, mixed fajitas, and refried beans. The chips here were very good. They are thin and do not taste like the store bought variety. The queso has nothing added to it and has a liquidy, runny consistency. They do give plenty of pickled jalapenos with the bowl that pair nicely.

I usually get mixed fajitas because it's always a guess as to if a restaurant makes tough steak or bland chicken. Here, the steak was not tough at all and had a good flavor. The chicken was served in thin strips, but were just not on the same level as the steak.

Service is top notch. I was immediately seated within 2 minutes of entering the establishment, and my drink was topped off each time it has 1/4 left in the cup. By the way, these are served in big containers, so you don't run out as quickly as other restaurants. This is also a quieter establishment than the other big chain Mexican eateries. Much easier to hold a conversation in, and usually much better service as well.

The experience is great, staff is friendly and responsive. If I could change anything, I would like to see a little more flavor and bigger pieces of chicken for the fajitas, and maybe some toppings or seasonings added to the queso.

Went back today to try lunch special...I was not charged for small queso and jalapenos. Tried the California Burrito with queso, was very good! Great service...

Today wasn’t a good day I guess. I order the trio enchiladas combo, didn’t receive rice and bean that come with meal on top of that the food I did receive wasn’t it’s best. Taste like frozen tv dinners that been sitting out for couple of days. My son received hamburger and he said it was dry and tasted burnt. So I tasted it, definitely burnt. Tasted like the pieces left behind on grill or bbq pit. My daughter had the chicken taco. It was fair but I’ve had better. My other daughter had the chicken fingers which WAS NOT chicken fingers 🤦🏾‍♀️! Literally Dino nuggets!!! 🙄 The Queso (which is VELVETTA or canned cheese) and salsa was the only thing good about my meal. I spent 43$ for unpleasant food which is crazy. When called and told the lady in the front about the missing items She did offer to give the items but literally the whole meal need to be replaced and...

First time here and it was just ok. Service was great, but the food was not. Everything had onions in it! Nachos had onions, enchiladas had onions, everything was chock full of onions! Things you would order at other places that wouldn't come with onions had gosh dang onions! I don't care for onions as it is, but this was just excessive to a point where once you picked them all out you weren't left with much food! Their menu doesn't say anything about onions in all their dishes but they just throw onions in everything like they have a dang overflow of onions in the back to get rid of. And the food really had no flavor at that.
