Not the best Pastor I've had, but not the worst. The Pastor meat was extremely dry, and virtually had no pineapple in it. This very well could have been due to the fact that I ordered 45min before closing. But, as a first time consumer, this is not a good look on their storefront. Also, for the price they are charging for the quesadilla, I expected more meat. They did put a lot of cheese in it so that was good, but pastor meat is a very inexpensive meat so "pro tip" cut the more expensive item (cheese), and add more meat to it while keeping the price the same. I will give credit where credits due though. My family and I are new to the area, and we have now tried two other locations that have Pastor Tacos. By far, out of all three locations, this location is at the top of the list (That is subject to chance as we continue to venture different establishments). Their Tacos will not break the bank. I saw a comment on here that someone was complaining about the size of the tacos verses the price. I believe their prices are very fare in comparison to what your receiving. Yes, taco trucks sell them for $1.00 but I'll pay the extra .97 cents to get a "sit down" establishment with AC, and Sports on the TV. In conclusion, Myself and my family will defiantly be eating here quite often. I suggest everyone at least try it once so that they can draw their own...
Read moreThis is a great spot to get fresh Tacos al Pastor! They serve breakfast tacos as well. They open up at 8am-ish. There's a few days that they may be running behind but the breakfast tacos are worth it. Its a bit of a limited menu but they do all of the items extremely well!
I stop here about 3-4 times a week because its close by but the taste is consistent and delicious. The family that runs it is very friendly too.
Ok now back to the food. So they do tacos, breakfast tacos, gringas (quesadillas) and Volcanoes. The tacos are great and you can get them on corn or flour tortillas. They stack them full of meat. Our kids love the chicken Gringas and the Pastor Gringas are also tasty. But two hidden gems are on the menu which I'm now addicted to and its the Volcanoes which is your choice of meat with cilantro and onions on a small corn tostada. They are small so you'll need a few to satisfy your craving. The other is the al Pastor Fries and they are SO good! The fries in a To-Go order is a bit bigger than the dine-in version and it'll definitely fill you up. Its waffle fries with queso Blanco and topped al Pastor. Fantastic.
They have the usual bottled sodas as well as Horchata and Agua de Jamaica. The menu also lists a few desserts.
Give it a try because you won't be...
Read moreThe name of this place along with pictures on the wall doesn't match the taste on my pallet. I'm always willing to support local business and my community but this is the 1st visit and my last visit. I decided to try this place after I read the reviews I was a little excited being that it's 5min from home. We arrived no one in the restaurant but my thought was it's 5 o'clock traffic this is the perfect time to relax and enjoy authentic Mexican favorites. We order simple 2 tortas 1 with pastor since the reviews were awesome and 1 steak cause my husband wasn't feeling the vibe. Let's start with the food it wasn't fresh (meat) very dry, temperature warm, and horchata water down but sweet. This place is far from authentic and needs help with taste of Mexican food. I was not impressed 😕. 2 tortas with 2 drinks $23.00 no chips & salsa. Hopefully this place improves since it's been open...
