The clerk (Naneed) at this location was so rude and unprofessional. I placed my order and told the clerk that I wanted to add mix-ins to my order. She went to the cash Register to check me out when I advised her that I would also like mix-ins. She yells at me by saying, āwhy didnāt you tell me thatā. I replied by calmly stating that I did in fact tell her about the mix ins. She then asks, well what do you want? I requested 2 fruits and 2 nuts with my ice cream and waffle cone. She then says, I donāt have room to put it on since itās already made so it will go on top. I asked for a cup so I could just mix it up at home since it was such a problem. I was tempted to just walk out but remembered how nice the owner was when we met. She then begins to take the ice cream from the waffle bowl to mix it up together. There was a father dining with his young daughter so I didnāt want to escalate it any further and ruin the childās experience. However, Iām thankful my small children were not with me at the time to witness her actions. I did contact the store later but was advised the owner was not in. My family and I were one of the first to support this business in our neighborhood so I am very disappointed. We have met the owner before who was very nice and have visited this location several times. We love marble slab but will never visit this location again. The lady behind the front desk with glasses told us to leave because theres 15 more minutes for the store to open. It started raining so I requested if we could sit in the store and we will wait to order until 11 AM. She said no sit at the coffee shop a few blocks down until its 11 AM. Why is the store open if customers arent allowed in ? If the official timing is 11 AM then the store needs to remain closed until then to avoid situations like this ?
After that we went to the coffee shop and sat there for a while. I didn't want to order anything from there anymore but my son still wanted to so anywya we waited in the coffee shop and then returned to marble slab. The coffee shop folks are well mannered and didnt mind us just sitting in without buying anything since it was raining heavily. So anyway afterwards when we were ready to pay, I asked my 11yo to swipe the card. She then told him ill do it and quickly grabbed it from him. Today there was a indian lady with glasses who came to take our order. She took mine and I let her know I wanted no toppings. So now it's was my husband's turn and she gave him a plain ice cream. So he looked at it and he said oh I wanted the cereal ice cream. And she said WHAT? I responded and said he wanted the cereal ice cream. So she replied very rudely and said: GIVE IT BACK TO ME BECAUSE YOU TOLD ME YOU DIDN'T WANT ANY TOPPINGS. What person argues with or talks to a customer crazy about toppings??? I told her ma'am please you can keep his ice cream and take mine back. And she refused to take it back, rather than say she is sorry for misunderstanding him or say I'm sorry I will fix that for you, she continued to try to argue and say he didn't tell her that.
