Pho Dung — Restaurant in Texas

It's such a shame I have to give this restaurant a lower rating. The menu is the regular Vietnamese's food, prices are not too bad, and the drink menu is interesting. The food is average (a little bit salty) but everything is freshly made including the vegetables that came alongside with it.

The service is nothing spectular. Mostly our order was taken and we were left pretty much alone..it would be nice if they can fill up our drinks when low.

The low rating is really because of their restroom. Another reviewer made the same remark and I was hoping it was because it was old..but unfortunately that was not the case. First there is a sewer smell which is not necessary their fault, but what was terrible was the toliet was filthy and it looked like they hadn't clean it in a while. One of them was clogged and there was lots of black mark in the toliet bowl. There was trash everywhere. All the toliet seat had water on it and I did had to clean it a bit before using it (sorry lots of TMI). I was quite astounded because the rest of the restaurant looked clean but now I am not so sure after visiting that restroom.

So overall it's a shame because I would recommend not to visit because if they can't keep the restroom clean it says a lot about...

After reading the reviews this place was my second choice when it should have been my first! Clean environment, friendly staff, quick service, it was all good. I should have tasted the broth before I put Jalapeños, hot oil and chili paste in it, but I know I like a lot of heat so I didn't, but I was not expecting that much flavour! It had me wondering if their hot oil and chili paste was homemade. It was so amazingly flavourful and delicious and hearty. Everything in the combination pho is cooked just right, perfectly tender/melt-in-your-mouth. On top of it all, the staff was great. They were so attentive and quick (I went at 11:20am, but around noon they got very busy and it took them a bit to bring out the food). My water glass never went empty and whatever I asked for they brought it to me right away! I got the large and it was so filling I didn't finish. I can't wait to eat the rest for dinner! This was exactly what I needed. Thank you guys for the amazing food.

Food is very delicious. But they have bad ethical practices. I recently ordered to go a pretty large amounts of Spring Rolls. I ordered them with no pork, made sure i made myself clear on no pork. I checked the S. Rolls and they had pork. Cashier person right away knew they messed up, instantly apologized as soon as i checked the order or before even complaining.

So they replaced the order. Checked it again and it looked legit at glance.

When I got home and ate an hour later I looked thru the Spring rolls and some of them still had pork. And some here and there still had traces of pork when opened. I called and got no answer, drove back but they had already closed.

I understand that mistakes happen and I didnt mind waiting another 20 minutes for an order done right, but its these types of practices that are a BIG no no to me. I really dislike pork, it makes me sick, and just couldnt eat them knowing that pork was smothered over my delicious Spring Rolls that were not...
