A very horrible experience. I was looking for some refreshing milkshakes and was greatly disappointed. I pulled into a car stahl and began to order. I had ordered one drink before the order was mistakenly voided and had to begin again. Understandable, it happens. Then the attendant continues to put in the wrong sizes. I clarify the mistake and the attendant groans and someone else takes over. I ask for a drink carrier, as I had ordered 5 milkshakes, which is then added to the receipt. The carhop comes out without the drink carrier. I ask if I could have one and I am informed that I didn’t ask for one but they guess they can grab me one . They come back and I take a look at the milkshake. It is pure liquid, the consistency of water. I wish I was quick enough to take a picture. I inform the carhop of this and they tell me, “well that’s how they always look.” Well, as a regular Sonic consumer, no that is not. The carhop shrugs at me and says, “ I’ll go get the manager.” A minute goes by and I am greeted with, “I heard you have a problem.” I grab my milk/water shake and question the shake . At this point, the manager says, “our milkshake machine can’t handle the volume of customers.” This confused me greatly. If the machine is broken or not functioning normally, that somehow justifies me paying money for a less than adequate product? The manager then shrugs off their “deal with it” attitude, takes a moment and informs us that they will remake them with harder ice cream. I then receive shakes that don’t look like they were made yesterday and kept under a lamp from another different person . At this point, 4 separate people have been helping me. The fact that the shakes were remade is the only reason I am not giving this review one star. I sure hope that Sonic can provide this store with some better equipment and...
Read moreAs the hot Texas sun combined with the all-encompassing East Texas humidity, it sapped the water out of my head like a dishwasher wringing the water out of a dirty dish rag during an afterchurch lunch rush in the Bible belt at noon on Sunday. I exited my local Home Depot, where my wife sent me on another honey-do list longer than Wilt Chamberlain's list of conquests, needing to quench my thirst. I remembered that this particular fine dining establishment was currently in the throws of its Happy Hour celebration. I pulled into a nice shady parking spot and proceeded to try and make contact with the sommelier and inquire as to what pairing would go well with my mid afternoon muse bousch of a maize wrapped canine, or corn dog for you non gastronomically enlightened plebes. I decided on the non-sweetened steeped leaves of a Sri Lankan varietal. The crispness of the brew mixed with their special ice that must be hand carved by an Inuit shaman from a polar iceberg rehydrated me as if I was standing under the Karuru water falls in the Aberdare range of central Kenya. My main course was delivered hot and steamy with a bright yellow seed sauce whose sharp and tangy flavor paired beautifully with the fine corn husk wrapped around the succulent meat kabob. I was all at once transported to my childhood like Anton Ego upon his visit to The iconic Gusteau's in Paris.
I highly recommend you take advantage of this pairing soon as I don't know how long their seasonal offerings...
Read moreI come here every day and I tip frequently honestly as often as possible because the girls who bring my drinks out are so sweet and I always pay a dollar extra for sweet cream, apparently the manager “Mia” made my drink today and I know when it’s made right and it was not made correctly and she was immediately rude and defensive when I very kindly asked for extra sweet cream through the speaker because there was absolutely not extra in my drink it tasted completely different than the one that I got this morning and Mia was extremely rude she should not be a manager I don’t know who chose her but I was willing to pay for extra AGAIN until her attitude I honestly just got a refund instead. I come here daily and just came this morning actually and I dropped my entire drink on the floor and I’ve had a bad day so I wanted to get my favorite drink and Mia the manager made my day worse. The girls who work here are so sweet and I see them everyday never have I seen or heard of Mia but the manager will be the reason I will never return. So disappointing and disgusted with her attitude and unwillingness to accept and acknowledge that she was either wrong, or the entire place is inconsistent. If you can’t be a decent human you shouldn’t work in any industry around people, you never know what the next person is...
