Someone higher up the ladder is only paying 8 an hr and give 16 cent raises. Hard workers dont stay long when no one else cares about how hard they work, with a 16 cent raise I see that someone in charge doesnt care very much. With appreciation of your workers, by taking care of your workers because they take care of the store the management wont have to constantly retrain or try to train more workers. When management can see who is working and who's not this should not be unnoticed . We want the best dont we? So pay those who care for the place as they would if it was their own. Well maybe they think kids will know more and work harder for pennies and not question how or why about work. When someone can help make the store money by cutting food cost and helping order and has the knowledge of to better many things at work, that person should stand out and be a team leader. Instead they wont pay them adequately, says we cant give raises more than 16 cents. If that's who this store shows it cares no wonder it is the way it is. Sad because it's high up the ladder and some people cant do anything about it. So let's bring it to the light and see how well they do there. If they dont like that, then what are they hiding. It needs someone who cares about the store and its workers. But it doesnt and we the workers can not even get but a 16 cent raise. Sad. I thought people cared but they are just money hungry. 16 cents is all they can afford ? Then the manager sucks and needs to fix that by cutting food cost and what not. Seems ridiculous that the store makes x amount they order x amount and the pay roll comes to x amount . Which supposedly leaves a small margine of 16 cents. I offered to help fix that, with a small cost of a raise of .75. We cant afford that? Then something is wrong. Doesnt make sense. I wont drink soda from there due to mold in the spouts and no one even knew how to clean it. It doesnt cost much to care. And if you dont care for whatever reason, let someone else do a better job that does care and will do what's right for the business and its employees. Just saying. When our driver arrived there, they called to tell us they were out of steak (15mins after "our order was being prepared"), strange but ok. Substituted the meat. Received hard (much harder than my dogs Kong toy), stale bread and had to really look for the cold chicken. To top that off, the veggies were super soft and slimy and as someone who has a Degree in Animal & Food Science, that means bacteria is already accumulating on the food product. The other sub was "The Boss" which is clearly supposed to have sauce and cheese. Shocker, no cheese and super dry. They did offer "one" free sub or a refund by the end of the day. Seeing as I am not a big fan of food poisoning, we opted for the refund. Having been in restaurant management for over 25yrs prior to College, I understand the refund is not immediate but I assume the "manager" was not aware of that.
