Taqueria El Regio — Restaurant in Texas

First time eating here. I pass through federal and market because of work, and it always smells so good when I drive by. So I decided to stop by and try them out. I ordered the Pepe Burger. Its a beef patty, lettuce, tomato, avocado and dressed with mayo and mustard. Like many other Mexican restaurants they put their own twist. They are a generous portion of ham, and this specific burger contains trompo meat (marinated pork). However they do not serve fries. When I got my burger, I noticed it was big. My mouth started watering, it looked very delicious. The bun was a bit burned, but like I said I'm not too picky. I took a bite into it, tasting everything listed. The beef patty was a bit tough and somewhat dry. The trompo meat really disappointed me. It what very charred, almost chicharron to be honest. If you know good pastor/trompo it is supposed to be soft and tender. The burger itself was also pretty expensive. I paid 9 and some change for the burger and a bottle soda. I give them 3 stars because the quality of the food is not as good as it should be. In addition to that. The price is a bit steep for what you get. VERY DISSAPOINTED, THEY WERE VERY RUDE!!!So I order a Togo and the gorditas and fajitas were damn hard cold and full of just lettuce and beans with only a little bit of burnt fajita and the other plate of food was cold too but I decide to just complaint about the gorditas, I told the manager the reason why I wanted to returned the food MANAGER SAID I DONT MAKE THE RULES, ERICK DIAZ IS THE BOSS AND WE DONT ACCEPT ANY COMPLAINTS if you didn’t liked the food and didn’t eat the food that’s not my problem, that’s your problem, I’m just an employee here BUT I CANNOT REFUND YOUR MONEY, I explained to her ma’am I am returning the food so I want my money back SHE SAID NO THIS IS ERICK DIAZ TAQUERIA WE DONT CARE IF YOU DID NOT LIKE THE FOOD WE DON’T RETURNED MONEY BACK TO NOBODY .. END OF STORY THEY KEPT MY MONEY, AND THE NASTY COLD HARD FOOD I RETURNED EEEWW DISGUSTING PEOPLE RATS FOR STEALING PEOPLES MONEY, it was my first time here and my last 👎🏼 such a bad customer service...

Maybe our visit was during a bad time but a family was ready to leave since I walked through the doors. The father asked for to go boxes which he was constantly asked to wait. He sat patiently and only made the request once more and she said she would get it then only to continue serving other tables. Around 10 to 15 minutes later be just left. It says a lot about a place when they ignore those who have already paid or place them on the back burner. To me the message is clear. You've paid so services are cut to offer to those who have not yet paid. I dislike this form of service and Immediately looked to my partner and said we won't be returning here.
