Since it was deleted the first time... here it is again. Check your receipt!!! My husband and daughter ordered the grilled chicken cooked with onions and bell peppers. On the menu the meal is $11.99. (Remember this for later) Their chicken breast was TINY and has no onions or bell peppers as described in the menu. The mashed potatoes tasted like water and that’s it. The frozen green beans had no taste, no flavor. I ordered chicken fried chicken which wasn’t bad in flavor but the breading was soggy. My youngest daughter ordered chicken nuggets. Frozen cheap nuggets that were overcooked. Then as stated on the menu the meals come with two sides and dinner rolls. We did not receive rolls. When I asked a waitress/hostess, not ours because she wasn’t there at the moment. She got an attitude and she said it only comes with a special. I said no, on the menu, and showed her, it reads, “served with two sides and dinner rolls. Extra rolls are 35€ each.” So she asked the manager. They came back with the rolls. Then I get the receipt. I’m looking over it and I see they charged us for dinner rolls and over charged my husbands and daughters meals to $14.80. It read on the receipt, grilled chicken 2, $29.60. Before taxes, taxes are calculated at the end. So how does $11.99 times two come out to almost $30? So I asked the waitress to take the rolls off because it comes with the meal as stated on the menu. Then the chicken needed to be the price that is on the menu. So I assume a manager comes, middle aged blonde lady. She said, “it’s because tonight it’s our special.” So a special is more on one night of the week? She said, “it’s because it comes with a tea so we charge more. We All Ordered water. I told her well, we ordered water and was not told we would be up charged bc it’s a special and is supposed to be served with tea. I am paying the price on the menu and not for something I didn’t order. So she changes it. As I walk to the counter to pay the girls standing there whisper something while looking at me and start to laugh. I cant believe they were stealing customers money by lying and up charging. Check your receipt!!! Food isn’t good. Service was not good and smallllllll portions. I should have taken pics of the whole time there but I was so irritated...
Read moreThe food is all made in house and is very wonderful. They had all you can eat spareribs as a special. We ordered the chicken fried steak and chicken fried chicken. Both were outstanding. The kids got popcorn shrimp and catfish. I'm assuming it was good, they ate it all. They were doing great with COVID-19 safety measures. This was our first time here but it won't be the last. As an aside, they have a nice variety of burgers, offered in beef and Buffalo. Husband is already planning his next order to be a Buffalo burger.
Update : we went today, Monday August 3. Talk about a different experience. Husband got his Buffalo burger. Had to move the tomato slice to find the Patty. He had about 3 bites in the middle of the bun with meat. Left the rest of the huge, cold bun on the plate. Obviously, pre-made and frozen. As were the French fries, onion rings and potato salad. Best description of the onion rings is spongy? I know! You had to have been there. I got the beef burger, again, pre-made and frozen. Same with the kid's meal. The grilled chicken salad was iceberg lettuce, grated carrots and shredded purple cabbage with a few tomato slices. No other veggies, no cheese, no croutons. Lots of chicken, the ranch was really good. If this had been our first visit, we would NOT go back. As it is, we'll go if we want old time country food done right but not for anything else. Honestly, a fast food burger and salad from anywhere else would have been better.
After Thursday, all I heard from my husband was "wanna go eat @ Neal's?" Both of us agree, after today, it will be a while before we go back. The burgers are just sitting there like...
Read moreI don't want to sound biased but I see a pattern here after reading other comments. Hopefully all these comments will create some awareness instead of animosity. Food was way too expensive I paid $16.00 and I could not even eat half of what they served me. Brisket was decent but sausage was too dry, the sides were horrible, I do believe I was given leftovers from the previous night, my guacamole looked too dark (I requested corn instead and wasn't charged extra so I appreciate that), the corn was chewy and didn't taste fresh it had a lot of butter to mask its real flavor I guess . The gravy was too salty, the worst was the peach cobbler, it was a mess and you couldn’t see any peach juice oozing out of it, it actually looked like a crumpled slice of bread, I couldn't even eat it and only bit into a slice of peach and it was mushy and nasty. I was seriously afraid of getting sick while eating their food, afterwards the burping lasted for several hours. The portions were generous but nothing was great, I felt like when you go to one of those buffets in which you have plenty of options but everything is bland and low quality. I could have eaten prime rib somewhere else but was charged an arm and a leg to be served leftovers. Not everything was negative, I was treated with respect and the waitress was nice, the place looked clean, and the facade of the building was attractive too. It was just too bad to go to this place based on the good reviews I read and having such a...
