Best experience of my life ,closest friends, who is Bengali, recommended Tandoori Indian Cuisine this place to me and it is every bit as good as she said it was. The food is made fresh every day and all the breads are made to order so nothing is sitting around. I wanted to try something new and the lovely hostess recommended that I try the Potato and Lamb curry. She gave me a sample and it was a flavor that was familiar and yet not. It reminded me of Texas chili, as it contained cumin and chili powder, but that is where the similarities ended. There's cinnamon and other spices I couldn't identify. It came with a side of veggies and rice (white or lemon). I chose the Veggie Korma and Lemon rice under the recommendation of the hostess. She wasn't wrong... again... I also ordered the Garic Naan because I'm a sucker for garlic and naan. I rounded out the meal with some Chai as well. Not only was the food amazing but the portions and service were as well. The interior is simple but bright and open and very inviting. I will most definitely be coming back and I highly recommend everyone to come...
Read moreLet me start by saying I know what Indian food is suppose to taste like and honestly, this restaurant was a disappointment. We only came here because we were in the area and drove all the way from Sugar Land, TX and this restaurant's reviews are high. I'm not sure how their food is so highly rated. The restaurant was closing when we arrived and I wasn't aware of this. I wish they had just said we cannot serve you. The food was super expensive and the taste was designed for the "typical American" person to enjoy. Meaning, the dishes were missing spices, it was tasteless and more on the sweeter side than the typical Indian spicy dish. My friend and I both thought the portions were small, the food was tasteless, was smothered in ketchup, and was very expensive for what it was. We paid $40 for only two dishes. I would never come back here again nor would I recommend this place to anyone. The owner is from Bangladesh, maybe they should consider changing their food and making authentic Bengali...
Read moreIF YOU WANNA GET SICK THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU! Went for the buffet and the worst and the most disgusting food ive ever had in my life. The food was cold, chicken was dry like a desert, paneer pakoda was rock hard I could injure a person if I threw it at them. Mutton purée was okay but the meat was off. Butter chicken was just canned tomato purée with cream and chicken ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING!! Thought I’d move on to biryani but they there was little to nothing in the tray left and everything dried out, so i asked if they were going to refill it and they said NOPE. Now im on plain rice with some mutton and half of it was just dried rice turned completely solid. I asked myself why am i doing this to myself . Kept the plate aside paid for the food never to return back. Also they charged $1.95 for drinks which is 75% ice and 25% coke. For God’s sake have some shame !!
