Tienda Rio Lempa pupuseria #3 — Restaurant in Texas

When the restaurant first opened I loved the food and service. My coworkers and I always ordered from here. It's been about 6 month since my last visit and it's not the same. Today I ordered a caldo de res and it was a joke! Got more fat than meat, liquid was clear with no flavor, worst part...who in the he'll puts baby corn in caldo?! Not like it use to be at all. My coworker ordered a pan con pollo ..one of my favorite dishes back in the day. Unfortunately not so great now. The fries were cold, the lady ofered to warm them up in the mirowave! Whether you dash your food or dine in, the food is absolutely delicious 😋!!! My favorite are the pupusas (all of them, fajita, revuelta, been and cheese). The platano frito and frijoles with crema is also super tasty!! The ambience at Rio Lempa is like sitting at a little restaurant in El Salvador with all of the Salvadorean brands and items. The pupusas are very cheesy and always hot which is good but in my opinion a little MORE chicharron would be useful and would go a long way. I ordered 2 pupusas mixed and I got 2 ice creams it was 14 dollars . I rated 3 stars because it seems a bit ridiculous for 2 pupusas and 2 ice creams .
