You know what.. it's finally time for my waffle house review of this location because beleeeee me its LOOOONNGG overdue. I've been visiting this location since I've moved into this area and as hard as the employees work, as good as the food is... none of that circumvents the overall atmosphere I keep getting at this location.
To start ill say the HIGHLIGHT of every visit is the effort and hard work the cooks and the waitstaff work REALLY hard on and its obvious from the output they accomplish on all my visits.. so I do want to make sure they get the praise they deserve for what they do..
But I think the genuine problem w this location is a really obviously blaring issue to me and thats a serious lack of leadership ... the visits that go smooth are becoming fewer and fewer and I visit once a week literally watching my experience change so much so that even while writing this review sitting in the location I was just served a glass of water w something solid floating in it. Theres been times where my order at the bar took an unnecessarily longer time than normal.. theres been moments where ill get the eggs sau and grits first then the waffle 30 min later because it was "taken" by another host.. there was this one moment i was put on a waiting list for a bar seat that was open because THAT week suddenly there's someone at the door but I usually get to walk right to the bar and be seated and served. And again, even as I type, there's a hole in plumbing or ac in the ceiling that's been dripping for a few weeks.. I know because I've been offered to sit next to it w a bucket of water collecting next to me WHILE my food is there... TWICE. People wander around the bar counter washing tons of dishes in front of you, sometimes not acknowledging new guests. One associate sees me weekly and recognizes me.. one sees me weekly, served me sometimes and still treat the experience as just something to do. At least today the food came faster and this waitress was lovely.. and who wants an associate reaching over their table of food to change the napkin dispenser because that's what you want to do to stay busy? That should wait til the table is ccleared. Oh and consistency across the food needs to be addressed as well. Waffles are hot some days cold some days hard some days soft some days..
Work needs to be done here. And if the franchisee can't fix the leak in the roof that's a problem
Oh yeah.. the soda machine...
Read moreI really liked this Waffle House and would recommend it! I love the atmosphere, the food was the diner food I expected and the staff was great! I really enjoyed this Waffle House experience at this location and would recommend eating here. I think Waffle House deserves more positive recognition. This location worked really hard to make sure that people were seated and served quickly. I think the highlights where that the cleanliness was maintained, the food quality was as expected expected for a quick fun diner breakfast and the staff was very friendly & efficient. (I do not know what it is like to eat here if you're coming at 2:00 or 3:00 in the morning), but, a family member and I came here at Peak breakfast rush hour at 9:00 a.m. and had a good visit. *I did not come in expecting some bougie, fine Chateau Style breakfast served by somebody with a French accent. I came here for exactly what I wanted: good old fashioned American diner food with American nostalgia. We were greeted and seated right away. The booth is an efficient setup because it's right along the cooks line so the wait staff serves you directly from griddle to table. We ordered the All-Star special breakfasts, with extra sausage on the side. The eggs were fresh, the hash browns were crispy, the waffle was perfect and the bacon and sausage were cooked just right. The coffee was also kept topped off and tasted like coffee should. Nothing was too greasy and the portion size was just right! Our waitress had one of the best personalities and attitudes that I've ever met! She zipped around like a little pixie and made sure that all patrons were attended to enough, but, also left to eat our meals. The entire staff's attitude was great and lively! The tables were kept clean and the bathrooms and the music from the WH Jukebox was playing good tunes the whole time. Overall, I give this Waffle House two BIG thumbs up for meeting and exceeding all of my expectations for good food and enjoyable experience at a classic American Diner. I recommend that if you're looking for this kind of experience yourself, during any regular day, this Waffle House is a great...
Read moreSad that wait staff don’t want to be there. Usually good service but last night was unreal. First one’s in for dinner and only waitress was sitting watching video and eating (I get breaks but when you’re the only waitress?). Cook jumped up and welcomed and practically had to prompt waitress to get up and wait on us. Goes behind counter and talks to cook then comes to table and just stares not asking if we’re ready which we were. Placed order as another family comes in. Instead of getting our drinks goes to that table and takes their order. Cook thankfully heard our order and had started. Food ready which waitress brings but still no drinks or silverware. Brings forks but no knife for buttering waffle so I ask for one which attitude was like I asked for her firstborn or something. Meanwhile as she is getting drinks I have to go behind counter to get syrup as was never asked if I need it but figure I would ask her when she brought drinks which was taking forever. I left tip as I believe they are pooled and shared with cook as that is who I was only tipping, not this waitress. If you don’t want to be there then quit but maybe need retraining on basic...
