Yankee Donuts — Restaurant in Texas

My favorite donut shop!! I prefer my glazed donuts from a larger unnamed chain (sorry), but LOVE their ham+swiss pocket things (kolaches?) and Chappell Hill kolaches. (I was so happy to find great CH kolaches after moving away from the Yankee Doodle in Magnolia.) The bacon/egg/cheese croissants amd boudin kolaches are delicious, as well. Honestly, I'm sure everything else is, but I'm stuck on my faves. They have a huge drink menu and the most awesome woman at the front. The previous owners/operators were great and I was worried things would change or go downhill but they haven't. They serve a few donut variations I haven't seen many other places (cherry donuts and a cross between a croissant and a donut) and there is usually some sort of free donut with your order. I see sponsored ads/deals on Facebook a lot offering free food/drinks. I know they've helped out the community a few...

WOW! I finally found a place that has a Cronut! When I call donut shops asking for them, no one knows what I am talking about, so I only get them when out of state. A BIG YAY to this place for that!

Service was great. I did not dine in. I give high marks because of the Cronut, but I beg of the powers that be, to no rest on their current recipe and preparation. As great as it was to have one, a few tweaks can send their product wildly into orbit.

I also had a croissant sandwich. The croissant was large, buttery, flaky, yet soft and delicious. The egg and cheese just did not have that "I was made with love" texture or taste. It was a it harsh and to me, inedible. I just couldn't.

I will definitely revisit and order from here again with high hopes that they will make some changes. I definitely think it is...

Awesome donut shop! Staff is super friendly, very helpful, and patient! I always go here on Mondays at 6 am before school and the lady (I must ask for her name! She's awesome!) always greets me and asks how I am. (She also sometimes gives me extra donut holes and or kolaches!) The donuts, kolaches, and sandwiches are so yummy! I once bought about 2 dozen donuts for my class and they absolutely loved it. Some even asked me where I got the from! I still have yet to try their smoothies and coffee, but judging by these other reviews, I'm sure it's also appetizing!

Wonderful staff, family owned and operated, reasonable prices, fast service, fresh ingredients, and finger-licking delicious food! I will continue visiting this business and I'm very happy with Yankee Donuts staying around for a...
