Eagles Roost — Restaurant in Thatcher

We are on a road trip through Arizona. Our goal is to eat at restaurants that are unique (no chain restaurants). When we got hungry, Google suggested this place. As we drove there we ended up in a trailer Park community! I was convinced that we were not in a good place, then we saw throngs of kids hanging out by a building in the corner of the community. I was confused and just wanted to leave. Luckily, my husband was up for an adventure! He went over and was told there was a side entrance for adults. Apparently this place is near a school and almost all the students come over to eat. We were there just in time to see everyone for lunch.😂 I'm so glad we stayed! We had the Italian Stallion, the Howie and some fries. WOW! Everything was delicious! And the people were so friendly. We had to order extra to take for later on, as we continued our road trip. Out of town visitor, was unsure of this place. Almost passed it up! Got out when I saw the kids. Reminded me of my home town "the lunch box" ran by kids and surved the local schools. And sure enough that is what it was. The cops showed up as I walked back to my car. I asked about the place. The lady cop said to use the side window for Adult orders. This made me happy as there was alot of kids and long lines at the main window at the time. Had the Italion Stallion burger, it was so good! And good value! Highly...

The "Eagle" of Eagles Roost is clearly a metaphor, due to the fact that I feel like I'm a part of her clutch of eggs. Sitting in a booth, as I wait for my order, it is as if I am being warmed by her feathers as she lightly sits above me. Protected by her meaty talons and sharp beak. If only i could be fed my oder of fries through regurgitation by mama eagle... but I digress... anyways the burgers are...
