New review! My wife and I went this past weekend and we had Andy as our server and he was hands down great! He got everything we asked for in an efficient manner, and made sure whatever we asked for he was happy to get. We customized a few things on our orders without any hesitation he was happy to make the changes. The food was flat out the best we have had there. I don't know what they have changed but service was excellent, food was better than any prior visit. We left blown away. My wife and I just kept talking about how this was a wonderful visit. I think we will be coming back pretty regularly.
I almost forgot to mention they have a Monte Cristo that is not on the menu. They show some of their dishes on the TV's and we didn't see it until after we ordered. My wife saw the table behind me get one and she said she would have absolutely ordered it she said it looked amazing! We asked Andy and he said the staff haven't been able to try them yet because they are in testing phase and not enough is available yet. But I will tell you if you miss the ones at that other place that shut down all locations after you grew up on their food, order it and demand they keep it on the menu if you like it! We'll be getting one next time if we can!
This review will have some good things to say and some things that need improvement. I have come to this location several times now and I can say the food is amazing! Everything I have had has been perfectly cooked. The chicken tenders are so tender it's unbelievable. Shrimp are always cooked perfect as well. The spicy chicken is the best chicken sandwich I have ever had. All the sauces are fantastic. The side salad is one of the best you will get and the prices are fantastic in my opinion for what you get. Drinks are great and at good prices. We love this place! Itâs so hard to choose what you want to eat because everything is amazing. Oh, pro tip, if you like fish and chips theirs is excellent but you gotta ask them to dust them in Habanero chipotle fire seasoning if you like it kicked up a notch!
Now to the areas that need a little attention. Also, try to keep in mind, as I do, there are staffing shortages everywhere and I am sure this is part of the affected issue with this restaurant too. The service I have gotten every time, other than the very first visit which was about 2 weeks after they opened this location has been terrible. Most of this is directed at the main dining area. The very first time I went I sat in the bar. Service was great. In the dining room, terrible...every time. But the food is so good I can live with it. When you first get there and they ask you for your drink order if you are ordering a drink from the bar. I would suggest ordering 2 because it takes so long to get another. Well, honestly it takes so long to get the first one. Itâs kinda disappointing because I would order more drinks and hence they would be more profitable but they take too long to get them to the table. I again, say this is due to the lack of staff.
Overall the restaurant is cool, not too loud just right, everyone is friendly but donât go expecting super-fast service just know when the food gets to the table...
Read moreWe drove out of our way to come to this restaurant based on the reviews and decided to try Bubba's 33 for the first time. We came because of the pictures and reviews. It was me, my wife, one of my daughters, and my son - four of us total. Since it was a long drive to get there, we ordered a variety of items to get a good feel for the place.
We started with the spinach dip and garlic bread, and I have to say - it was incredible. Easily the best spinach dip any of us have ever had. Same for the garlic bread. It's the best. That alone could be a meal. It really set the bar high and had us excited for the rest of the meal.
Unfortunately, everything went downhill from there. We ordered the double classic cheeseburger, a classic cheeseburger, two lasagnas, 25 wings, macaroni pasta, onion rings, and tater tots. The onion rings were overly salty, but I figured it was just that item. Then I tried my burger, and it was salty too. My wife and son both agreed - very salty. When the wings came out, they were also salty, and that's when we realized it wasn't just one dish - nearly everything we tried had the same issue.
The only items we felt were worth salvaging were the lasagnas and the initial spinach dip. Everything else was so heavy on the salt that it took away from any other flavors. Since it was our first time there, we couldn't help but wonder if maybe it was just an off day or a new cook in the back.
It's disappointing, because the online photos had us looking forward to trying the chicken sandwich and pizza on a future visit. But after this experience, I don't think I'll be able to convince the family to give it another shot.
All of this came to close to $150, which makes it even harder to overlook the quality of most of the food.
On the positive side, I will say our waiter was excellent - super nice, attentive, and friendly. Service was not the problem at all; the food just...
Read moreThe pizza is one small step above frozen, and one giant step towards coming back again. Really, this is domino's quality. What little sausage there was, was a poor representation of Italian sausage. You really have to be drunk to enjoy this. On this $17 small pizza the toppings were primarily bell pepper, and not much else. As for people who want to eat healthy, you might choose the salmon, as my date did. So, if people want a healthy option, why the hell would you smear a nasty, sugary sauce on it? This reminds me of Boston Rotisserie Chicken(now out of business for good reason. Why make healthy food, only to cover it in unhealthy crap? So, when seating at a booth, there is a step. On the table, there is an emblem warning of a step, in case you forget. However, many people might not see that emblem because the McManagement puts their payment kiosk(which I loath) right on top of the emblems on each table. How stupid is that!?! As for the service. A waitress took our order. While we were waiting, a middle, aged manager came to the table and introduced himself, saying if we needed anything to call him. We never say the waitress again, even for a drink refill, until LONG after we were ready to go. I find this strange since there were only 4 customers in the place. There were half a dozen employees just standing around chatting and the manager was just standing against a wall chatting with 3, young female employees. I tried to get his attention, without luck. The waitress finally climbed out of whatever hole swallowed her, and I asked for the check. She pointed to the kiosk at which time I showed her I was paying with the legal US tender that I work hard all week to earn. I always pay cash. Never give up your rights. I would not...
