It was a pretty poor experience right from the start. We were seated outside so we could listen to the live music and waited about 15 minutes before a server finally took our drink order. There were several empty tables so it wasn't crowded. We shrugged it off since it could have just been bad timing. It took a bit more time to get the order in but we were enjoying the live music so patience won the day.

Unfortunately once the food came out what might have been a salvageable experience went right off the rails. The wings were bland, the blackened chicken was so overcooked I am pretty sure it could serve as shoe leather but the black beans served with the dish were good. While we listened to a very good live band play, the restaurant started up their canned music over the outdoor speakers thus ruining the main bright spot in this visit. This is a restaurant on the square... where a major draw is the live music... sorry recorded John Mellencamp but that was not the time and place. Add on overly loud drunk patrons, cigar smoke and a completely absent server we never saw again until the bill was ready. We won't be back any time soon.

The only pros were the black beans and a friendly albeit mostly...

My server left for the day - rushed me to pay.. I gave her a V large tip dispite her lack of customer service. She left and did not inform anyone that I was there. Regardless, I was overlooked while the servers and the manager sat 3 separate tables and checked on them multiple times while walking passed me without as simple as checking in on me to ask how I was doing. I timed it and made eye contact with the servers… for 23 minutes I was overlooked. After asking for assistance - the hostess got the manager who blamed their lack of customer service on the fact that the server who left and cashed me out on not communicating with them before even apologizing and asking if there was anything they could do to rectify the negligence on their behalf. Not to mention - my food didn’t even come with everything it said it did. I am usually a very patient patron but 23 minutes sitting right in front of the hostess, being overlooked and ignored - only to receive an insincere apology. Ridiculous. Also - I know they are busy because it’s 4th of July weekend but just say “hi - did you need anything else?” Anything but constantly walking passed me for 23 whole minutes. I wouldn’t go here if you’re not 70+ years...

I stumbled upon this cozy restaurant one evening, looking for a place that offered both great food and a lively atmosphere, and I was not disappointed. The moment I walked in, the warmth and charm of the place struck me. It felt like stepping into a friend's inviting dining room, complete with the buzz of conversation and laughter. The menu caught my eye with its array of American classics, each with a unique twist that promised a culinary adventure.

The live entertainment was the cherry on top. It turned what could have been just another dinner into a truly memorable experience, adding a vibrancy that's hard to find elsewhere. The staff were incredibly welcoming, treating me like an old friend rather than just another customer. My meal was delightful, from the first bite to the last, and the ambiance made me linger longer than I had planned. It was the perfect blend of casual comfort and refined dining, making me eager to return. This place isn't just about eating out; it's about enjoying every moment, surrounded by good vibes and even...

The food at City was beyond my expectations. I mostly eat pasta and I don't eat seafood. The only pasta dish they had on the menu was Cajun shrimp pasta. I asked if the could substitute shrimp and they were more than happy to. It was fantastic. I didn't taste any Cajun so I assume that shrimp is where they use Cajun seasoning but all in all it was delicious. Although, they did not adjust the price for chicken vs. shrimp and it was a $20 dish. They did bring me a beautiful warm baguette 🥖 when I asked for more bread though! My husband had the salmon special and he was extremely happy with the dish. Two meals, 3 Manhattans and an ice tea (unlimited) was around $70 before tip. I did 4 stars on service and atmosphere because they were very busy but didn't seem to have adequate staff. It took a long time to get our servers attention but, he was an amazing server, totally not his fault. The rest of the staff that we interacted with was also very pleasant. The manager came out and talked to tables which is always nice to see. Cudos to the kitchen staff too!!

This place was packed when we were in Brownwood a few days earlier for the Trump golf cart parade/rally, but this time only the inside seating was busy and there was room at the outside bar so we sat there. We had the black and blue flatbread and it was absolutely phenomenal! It's nice that they give you a bit of each ingredient on every bite such as one tomato per square and so on. The marinated steak they had on it had great seasoning which obviously sirloin typically requires! It was so good we ordered one on the happy hour menu along with happy hour draft beers, then we ordered a second one! Good conversation with people sitting around us, and ironically one couple (howdy James) lives one street down from our family member's house nearby and is also from north Georgia. Corky the bartender kept our waters and beers full. Be sure to ask him if he can do any better on the pricing so he can tell your ass to go down to Cody's Roadhouse for free peanuts lol Great place and can't wait to go back!
