We order pizza from this place; at least 2-4 times a month. Last night will be the last because of the manager at the Sterling Ridge location (my husband thinks her name was Lima or something). We called and ordered around 6:10, and was told it would be 60-90 minutes. That was totally fine! We know they are busy and don't mind a wait time that long. However, we do have a problem with getting COLD pizza - especially when we live across the street. My husband called to let someone know that our pizza was delivered cold (not warm.. cold), and the manager told us (and I quote) "well then next time you should just pick it up yourself." If this is how you choose to treat your customers, then we will happily take our business elsewhere - as well as the business of our friends and family. We were hoping for a resolution when my husband tried to go up there, mainly just wanted hot pizza! But instead she snapped the food from us and gave us a refund. Yeah that's nice and all for our money back, but it's going to pend for 5-7 days, AND it's too late to order elsewhere. Why not just take the COLD pizza back and get us a HOT pizza?
When this Lima lady asked what apt. we were in, she tried to use the excuse "we have had problems with y'all in the past" - I want to point out this "problem" she is referring too. Of ALL the times we have ever ordered from all Brother's Pizza locations - we have called in to "complain" one other time. And it was because we didn't receive HALF our order. We ordered two of everything - and they delivered one of everything. The driver told us we'd have to call the location because we weren't charged for it. SO when we called to find out where the other half of our order was - the manager/owner told us, "well we didn't charge you for it so its fine." We told her that it was NOT fine, that we ordered out because we were having a get together. We asked them to charge the rest of the order, and to please deliver it. We have NEVER asked for or expected a "handout" or "free food" as a resolution, we have only asked and wanted what we ordered!
I sent an email via their website explaining what happened, and were told that we can just bring our business somewhere else. WTH? That is a resolution?!
They have great pizza when it's hot. They ARE overpriced, but we didn't mind. But crappy customer service, rude owners (not just an employee, the OWNER), and getting yelled at over the phone because of an issue.. we will definitely take their advice and bring our business elsewhere - as well as the business of our friends and family who now order from them from our past recommendation.
If you REALLY want to order from Brothers Pizza, my suggestion is to get it from the Grogan's Mill location - STAY AWAY FROM THE STERLING...
Read moreI came into Brothers tonight and ordered a large pizza and antipasto salad for dine-in. The salad was great, the pizza. Not so much. But the staff was really took the expierence from a 5/10 to a 1/10. The staff runs that place in complete chaos. No one attends to people waiting on pizza in the waiting area unless they’re asking how much longer (often their orders were sitting on the oven) the kid at the cashier stand had no idea at any given point what was going on. We ordered a half and half pizza (he repeated this order back to us exactly as we ordered it so I know he understood half was to be pepperoni only) we wait a half hour for our food. As I start to see people who came in after us get their pizza (also for dine in) I go politely ask how much longer the pizza would be. This kid working has no idea where my ticket is. He’s searching the kitchen then comes to tell me it’s being made. I thank him, and go sit back down. Understanding working in a restaurant can be chaos sometimes as I myself have worked in many. Another 15-20 minutes later we get our pizza. And it’s made incorrectly. We let the person know who brought it to us. He takes it back. The guy who made the pizza looks over the ticket and says “I’m not making this. I’m not doing half and half” if half pizzas are not able to be made, the kid at the register needs to let us know that prior to paying and waiting 45 minutes for the pizza. Also, everyone in that restaurant needs to have a better attitude towards the customer. Simply explaining sorry there was a misunderstanding when your ordered and we can’t do a half and half pizza would have been a much better expierence than already sitting there almost an hour for food with a ticket that got lost and watching the person say they’re not making the pizza the correct way. We were not the only ones standing around waiting on orders that were forgotten, and many people were handed cards because of how long their food took. Customer service goes an extremely long way in situations like this, I hope this is a learning expierence for the staff (by their attitudes they had tonight I’m positive none of them will even care) so other customers don’t expierence this same poor service…… but, I certainly...
Read moreThis is hands down my favorite pizza place in the north Houston area.
Quality is incomparable (at least without going well outside their prices), service can get iffy, but they try very hard. Selection is great and the prices are very fair for most things.
Firstly, the pizza is great. The sauce is made in house, largely from scratch. The dough is made entirely from scratch, and it shows. Toppings are first rate and they have a great variety. Even though I usually get more than just plain cheese, their regular cheese pizza is perfect. You can tell a lot about a pizza place by their plain pies. It showcases their crust and sauce, and their cheese has to be of good quality for it to work.
The pastas, sandwiches and calzones are even better. They're not sit-down, fancy restaurant prices or quality, but they're great for what basically amounts to fast food and the price is very reasonable.
The owners are great people and will make sure you're taken care of. They're also always trying to expand in various ways. Their new (at least to me) pepperoni rolls are exquisite and almost too indulgent.
I'd highly suggest picking up your order or dining in. They do offer delivery, but since they're so popular, it can take a while and it's just not the same as a pie pulled right out of the oven. I entirely understand the difference, so 90% of the time I pick up my food, but if I'm lazy or incapable of driving, delivery is just fine and at worst a quick 5 minutes in the over crisps everything back to how it should be.
A true Houston pizza institution. Look into their family story, they're truly a blessing to...
