Although the wait times are inaccurate (longer than advised), the hostesses are very kind and polite! The fact you can check what place you are on the waiting list is very nice as well. Though, once you're seated, it has nearly been downhill from there the three times we have been. The wait time was well over the time we were given the night before so we ended up eating somewhere else. Gave it another shot the next night and our server was not very pleasant at all. It seemed as if she had somewhere else to be, and we were inconveniencing her. We didn't get her name. There was no bread. As busy as they have been, you would think they'd be better prepared. I'm not going to go into too much detail because I'm afraid of being too harsh or rude, but our server made for a horrible experience! Here are a few things I will mention - We did not get lemons like we asked because our drinks were delivered by someone else. Did not get straws, so we had to continue to wait to enjoy our drinks. Still had to ask several more times for lemons before we got any. When we asked for extra napkins, we were brought quite a large stack that looked like they came out of a paper towel dispenser from a bathroom which was very insulting. My husbands glass was empty before we got appetizers/meal. We were given our food and never asked if everything came out ok, if we needed anything, etc. He waited for her to walk by four or five times before we could ask for a refill of sweet tea. By the time she brought the refill, she was not polite, and it was unsweetened! When we got to mention the tea wasn't sweetened and asked for another, she brought my husband the refill in a TO GO cup with a lid! We were not done eating. As she sat it on the table she said here try this one! My husband and I were apolled. After asking a manager if they were out of regular glassware, he assured me they were not, and he would see what was going on. We applaud the manager because he wasn't even the one that appeared to be on floor duty, but he did exactly what we as guests like to see and fixed the situation. She ended up changing her attitude, and we tipped accordingly. Unfortunately, we would have left a quite larger tip had we received the appropriate service! My husband and I look young in age but are very fortunate and not greedy with our money. We felt as if we were immediately judged and treated unfairly. The table just next to us seemed to be given a completely different approach. This was the third time we have given this restaurant a chance, and sad to say, we will probably not be returning. We agreed that the floor manager should be more aware of what her servers are doing and provide the proper training to all servers. Young or old, no one should be judged by their looks and treated differently as a customer! That being said, this was the third time I had ordered a sirloin steak, and the first time it was cooked properly, so kudos to the chef! - New...
Read moreLet me just say that I NEVER write reviews. I'm honestly not that picky of an individual but I feel the need to today. First off, the food is great. I've never had any issues with the food. BUT... the three times that I've come here with my wife and daughter, we have had terrible service. The servers were NOT attentive at all. They would come by maybe once every 10-15 minutes. Not once was I asked if I'd like a refill. I even stuck the empty bread plates on the edge of the table to see if someone would grab it... nothing. It sat there for 20 minutes before someone grabbed it.
Also, this napkin in the photo is sitting here even as I'm writing this. It has been here for roughly 40 minutes and every single server has stepped over it or around it, even the man I'm assuming is the manager (in the burgundy shirt, with glasses and his shirt halfway untucked) on this shift has walked passed it as if it's not there.
It's honestly just the utter lack of concern from the staff that we've encountered that gets under my skin. Your job is not that difficult and this restaurant is at about 1/6th capacity as I write this. Management needs to step up and take charge and make sure that the people they hire are attentive like they should be. That's what you get PAID to do. It's not hard to ask someone if they need a refill... extra napkins... but I've been here for as I said 45 minutes and I've talked to my server twice and no questions related to those above ever came up.
As I said, the food was great, but the service has been garbage. The servers we've had every time are not very personable and act as if they're just there to...
Read moreWe just recently moved to Thomaston, so getting a longhorns was a big deal to us especially because our daughter loves steak. We have been there 3 times since they have opened and tonight was awful. I put our name down we had a party of 8 I was told the wait would be a 45 minutes to an hour wait. Which was fine 45 minutes goes by I get a text that the manager couldn’t sit us all at one table they would have to split our family up at 2 booths. We had family visiting from out of town, kind of hard to see each other sitting at different tables. When I asked how much longer the wait would be for us to all sit together it was going to be an additional 45 minutes to an hour wait. After trying to really figure out why we had to wait longer we decided we would just take the booths, but after my mother in law asked the manager about it she didn’t seem like she was interested on helping us sit together as a family , said that because they were a new build they didn’t have enough tables to accommodate 8 people and they were short staffed, which I get it everyone is, but they should state that in the beginning and it would save a lot of upset people. We ended up just leaving after that, but again if you can’t accommodate 8 people especially after saying “we aren’t that busy I’m sure you will be seated before the 45 minutes” say that in the beginning don’t have customers wait almost an hour and then say we’ll I’m sorry we will have to seat you separately. Bad...
