This unassuming food truck in an abandoned parking lot is arguably my favorite dining spot in the area. We visit Mid-coast Maine once a year and The Zack Shack is always one of our first stops. The staff are friendly and sociable. The food is delicious with reasonable prices. Service is quick despite their popularity with the local crowd. We visit for a week and will usually come here for lunch at least three times. In my opinion, the chicken sandwich is the best thing on the menu. Tender and lightly fried chicken with lettuce, tomato, and secret sauce. It’s addicting! It can be a bit messy so grab some extra napkins. The lobster rolls are great as well. They aren’t overflowing with lobster meat like a few other local spots, but you also don’t have to wait in line two hours either. I’d love to try their fried haddock basket but they’re always out of fish when I get there. It must be good! Get there early if you want the fish. I’m a firm believer that when traveling the local “hole in the wall” spots are always the best and The Zack Shack does not disappoint. It’s one of my favorites and I think you’ll enjoy it as well. 10/10 would recommend.

I've been looking at this place for 2 years now. Decided to swing by and see what the hype was about. The crab roll was good , but I would not buy it again. I can go to Hannaford and get one for 1/2 the price and get more. The outside seating is nice . You can people watch all day long . The service is nice . I wish the portion were a bit bigger for the price you pay.

I've had the fried haddock basket, lobster roll, crab roll, thoroughly enjoy each time I come here. The lobster roll and crab roll don't get me full if I eat them as they are a bit small in my opinion. But the fried haddock basket is delicious and gets me full, I could barely finish it. I will always stop by when I'm in town.

I ordered the lobster roll for my GF( she had never had Lobster in her life, so I figured this would be as good a place as any other. I got the roll and it was literally the size of a Twinkie maybe a little bit bigger...Maybe my expectations were too high? Maybe I was thinking about the other Lobster rolls I had bought in other cities that had big pieces of meat. And we're not mini sized, but this was truly the smallest sandwich I'd ever seen..I bought one to share with MY GF, so literally we had o' duerves I guess. The staff were nice, but maybe only because they knew we were gonna get "shafted" on the...

A year ago this was a great place, even through this summer it was great! They had great staff. We were frequent visitors (2 to three times a week). The food is still good for the price. We were there yesterday for dinner. The person I was with had to use the bathroom. There was an outhouse there but only for employees. He went around it to pee outside and the woman we ordered from yelled " that's indecent exposure, I am calling the police". She was screaming! We will never go back there or recommend. It to anyone. That employee needs lesson in how to communicate. She simply could have said that is...
