Rockbound Computer — Local services in Rockland

Recently, I found myself in need of a SATA cable, and not surprisingly, larger stores like Walmart and Staples did not have any in stock. I discovered Rockbound Computer during my search and decided to give them a call. They confirmed they had the cable, so I headed over to pick it up.

Given that Rockbound is a local store, I was prepared to pay a premium, assuming that they couldn't compete with Amazon's pricing. However, I was pleasantly surprised when I found out that the cable was only five dollars. I had braced myself for a price tag of at least $10, maybe even $15, considering the local store's overhead, which is understandable.

While I was there, I took a quick look around and noticed a large assortment of cables from StarTech—a well-known brand recognized for making high-quality products—as well as various adapters. They also stocked computer power supplies, an item that often needs immediate replacement and can be hard to find locally.

Located conveniently in Thomaston on Route 1, this computer sales and service center is a greatly needed computer and communication service company. When I discovered it, it became my go-to for computer service and sales. They can't carry a large inventory of specialty peripherals because that would require a warehouse, but they do have many common item. They have several used / reconditioned laptops and deck pc's. I brought in a pretty old generation iMac computer with a bunch of issues with the hard drive and some very important data. The folks at rockbound all of them Noah in particular, did a really fabulous job for me resurrecting a computer that was really badly crashed. I strongly recommend these folks.
